This was such a fun idea! In the 8 years this jam has been running I don't think I've ever seen someone bend the very rules of "so bad it's good good"! I really enjoyed this game though and there was a lot going for it!

When I saw the spikes for the first time I was like "no way I'm gonna make it past them" so when I  didn't immediately die it was quite refreshing! The bat flying controls are also pretty solid, making it fun but tricky to navigate through all those hearts!

Overall a very solid entry! Thanks for submitting!

pretty solid concept, all things considered. one minor nitpick - it would be nice if the arrow keys could be used for movement instead of just WASD (maybe also with z as an additional jump button in addition to space), seeing as, y’know, that tends to be the usual keyboard control scheme for 2d platformers.

Either way, pretty good work.

Good application of the theme, especially liked the meta story bits. The reverse mechanic for hearts is also a cool idea. Was a bit short but other than that I had a lot of fun!

Awesome idea for a game! Pretty well executed too. Dialogue was funny! I would love to see this mysterious "hero" who is so good he doesn't need to pick up hearts lol
