Interesting game. I just got so focused on trying to hit the right notes that I found it hard to try to also be aware of my surroundings and aim. If I knew the song better so that I didn't need to look at the timing bars then it would be much better, but maybe I just need to play/listen more lol.

Awesome game!

Very cool game! If you continue to work on it I suggest you find a way to make it progressively more difficult. Once I got the hang of it I felt like I would never lose. I like that it made me think about how to read a clock!

Amazing game! Very fun mechanics

Very fun and charming!

The penguin is terrifying! But it's waddle is adorable. It's pretty hard to win as the Yeti. Maybe if it had more health it would do a bit better against that quick penguin. Levels looked great and it was pretty fun!

Interesting story, though I didn't quite catch the 'Social Distancing' theme.

Dev's high score: 13064

Try and beat that ;)

This ruined the idea of haunting people for when I die. Very funny game :)

Yeah MichaelProbst#7831

So we just realized that there's a bug where you can't play as one of our selectable characters, which destroys the asymmetrical aspect to the game. We fixed it as of now but minutes too late. Can we please get a late submission?

I might have misread the page, but was the theme voting supposed to start today at 1 or end?

Cool video!

oh I thought the game was supposed to be played not knowing where you're going lol. I'm glad i read comments now

Yeah there's a lot you can do with the game data to do interesting things like having multiple color schemes in a room and whatnot.

Lol yeah I guess that's more helpful haha turns out its actually just 8 frames because the mouse is 2 tiles long but if you go into the game data window you can edit the sprite animation and by adding a '>' on a new line following your 8x8 bit pattern of on and off sprites, you can make sprites with longer animations.

Thanks for checking it out! I'll take a look at that readme file and play more haha

I really love the art! Everything looks great, especially the download page you've made. The explosions and particle effects are super satisfying. Also, I'm trying to blog about indie games like this and give feedback for the devs so my more detailed review is here if you want to see everything I had to say :)

Thanks for the game!

I thought that the scroll wheel to read previous dialogue was a really clever mechanic. I'm also glad you could use game dev to express yourself :)

In each tile in that entire column is a 16 frame animation where only one frame has a mouse and that frame differs in each tile to make it look like its scurrying around :)

Hi Nathan and others! I like your game, but I think there was some fine tuning that could've been done with the wall jump mechanics. Also a little work with the UI goes a long way rather than just using the standard unity sprites. I'm also starting to do little blogs of indie games that deserve some attention and feedback so that we can all learn from each other and grow as developers. It has more critiques than I'll put on this comment which you can read if you want. Sorry if it seems harsh.

Don't stop devving and thanks for the game! :)

I really liked the animations of the people in the jars.

This is weird and wonderful

My girlfriend and I think your game is the cutest

Hi Peter, your game is cool and feels fun. I can't wait until there is CPU and Online play. I do think the game would benefit from a playable tutorial so that players could jump right into the game instead of reading a bunch of text to understand how to play the game. Other than that I really liked it :)

Great job with the UI, it looks really good! Game is interesting too haha I think I need to play again on a harder difficulty.

Hi jbrooks! I thought your game was fun. I really liked how the game made me feel truly lost which made it suspenseful, which made it pretty frightening when I got caught by the ghostly effect. Sound design was good, I liked the pickup sound and the ominous sounds of the ghosts, but I think you could add some ambient music or sounds to add to the spooky atmosphere. I'm starting to do reviews for indie devs to give feedback and love to devs like us so that we can all grow together :) Here's the blog I'm doing if you're interested. It has more feedback and other text. Thanks for the game!

Gladiator Gauntlet is a turn-based, point-and-click , fighting game based in an Ancient Rome-inspired world where you fight your way through every interaction. The game includes many cool death animations like the one below.

This is my first large project and I'm excited to put out this alpha build so that I can get some feedback for how I should move forward with development and fix what isn't working or what isn't fun in this build. Please give it a chance and let me know what you think :)

I'm excited to have this released and eager to hear some feedback! The game is free and quick to play (10ish minutes). Let me know what you think!

Maze is a short game about traversing a mysterious - you guessed it - maze.

Maze was made using the bitsy editor. Check it out! https://ledoux.itch.io/bitsy

Please enjoy :)

I'm new to itch so I posted this game last month but didn't publish it... it's available now! https://meaty-okra-games.itch.io/maze hope you enjoy :)
