Where are you all coming from ?!?

Given the general rules of the Random WikiHow Jam we were not expecting as many participants but here we are ! We're extremely happy and excited that so many people joined, thanks a lot to all of you !!!!
Remember to have fun and not to take all of this too seriously, this jam was created to see how people would interpret such un-jammy themes as WikiHow articles.
Game jams are unique jokes among game developpers which push us to create something truly unique, fun, broken and personnal above and beyond any expectation of something made in a few dozens of hours.
So make great games, make terrible games and have fun ! <3

We can't wait to try your games !

PS : Got a terrible theme as well and I love it https://www.wikihow.com/Feed-a-Betta-Fish-Peas

I love the theme bc wikihow is such a meme and I love working within really silly constraints

looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up to! Is anyone going to stream or video themselves playing the games after the jam is over?

It's a great idea, hope that this kind of jam will become more common.

I have this https://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Diaper-Wreath but I’m on iPad and my PC broke what should I do!?

you could give Construct 3 a go.  It's mobile and works in the browser, supposedly they added mobile editing.  I own a super narrow android phone so it was unusable to me, but on a pad it should be fine.

Another browser based engine is playcanvas.  That one is more a 3d unity like environment, you'll need to code, and will need a source of 3d models, but it's pretty slick how far you can get in the browser.

Good luck!

ok, nice, but I don’t have time. to do it  in 40 minutes.  Can I send you the game so you can insert it in the jam?

Of course ! As long as you have something playable we'll be happy to add it to the jam !

Oh goodness, this is going to be bad.  Love the jam concept though, and I got a great idea to execute.  Here we go!

I second the idea of doing these more often.  It would be funny to fill itch.io with copies of wiki articles or other non-game related stuff that are instead playable/funny games.  Almost like a massive parody of the other sites content, lol!
