Nice start, but i can't play more than 5 moves that someone kill me!


Very nice idea, but you need to control better enemy spawning and maybe make the game a bit easier by giving the player more space to move, most times I felt like I couldn´t make any choices, only run away until I ran out of space.


I found it almost impossible to do more than 5 or 6 moves without some enemy inevitably kill me without any anticipation whatsoever. I like the idea of a grid based game similar to the CotN, but there's work to be done.


Great start! I think this would make an excellent arcade style game with more enemy variation and items and maybe a couple floors to fight through. As I'm sure you are already aware your collision is a bit messed up and causes unfair deaths 70% of the time. That should be a simple enough fix. Good work!

2/5 i like the concept, but when the enemy walks to a step i was just in, it killed me, which ruined the game for me


Love the art, gameplay is really similar to Crypt of the Necrodancer (which is good!). Main issues are that enemies sometimes spawn on the tile the player is standing on and they move before the player, making running away impossible if an enemy is close to the player. Good job overall!


I love the idea, but the current implementation seems a bit unfair to me. Awesome Art (Pixel Art and Sound). It looks great, it feels great but I wasn't able to score a single point.


This is a really pretty game!  I love the pixel art.  Gameplay reminds me of rogue-likes where the enemies only move when you do., except with different combat. 

The enemy collision could use tweaks - if an enemy is a space away and moves toward your square, it counts as a collision, even if you were moving away from the enemy at the same time -- making the instadeath frustrating.  I'd also recommend that items spawn more, even if those items are just regular swords, if the enemy spawn rate stays what it is. Finally, it'd also be nice if enemies didn't feel like they immediately honed in on the player -- making them move a little more randomly, at least when they're far away from the player, would make the horde of enemies more manageable, at least at the beginning of the game.

Like the others have said, there's a ton of potential with this game.  Make a few changes to the game to be a little kinder to the player, and you've got a real winner on your hands!  Good work.

Ooohhh! The music is awesome, graphics are really nice and the the game mechanics really reminds me of Crypt of the Necrodancer and is absolutely brilliant! I am SOOOOOO sad you could not polish it a little bit more (enemies spawning right in the square you are killing you instantly, enemies walking over hazards, and so on) as it gets frustrating after a little bit of playing.... I died like literally dozens of times!! But you got a raw gem here, it really shines! Keep developing it! Great entry!


Pretty great arena game. cool graphics & all, but the enemies spawning could be tweaked a bit, it sometimes would spawn a monster right in my place while moving


Hold onto this, and polish it up for Halloween. With some adjustments, it could make for a cool holiday-themed game. Nice work!
