Somehow, I got pretty poor performance, and turning around was a pain. I didn’t quite get what to do, and some doors didn’t open at all
Thanks for playing! I put a note on my game page now, but the fps and turning limits are deliberate to emulate how some games were on PC and PS1 during the early-mid 90s. The style of the game is having to do things in a certain order in a certain way.
This game is an absolute gem! Right from the start, it was clear that a lot of passion and effort went into crafting a well-rounded experience. The movement and controls feel incredibly smooth, making every action satisfying to execute. The game’s difficulty is well-balanced, offering just the right amount of challenge while keeping the gameplay fun and rewarding. The pacing is excellent, and I found myself fully immersed, eager to push forward and see what was next. With a few additional features, this could easily be a commercial release. Amazing job!
Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it! Yeah, that'd be cool to make commercial releases some day.
You should definitely keep making these games, as it is its own artstyle. I can see that lots of love was put into this project. Although, I can't really see how the theme would fit except the owner of the house is the outlaw(?) It also runs at like 10 FPS, and looking around is snappy and weird. Though I do love that you make these sorts of games!
Thanks for playing and for the encouragement! Yeah, my ideas changed a lot as I worked on this one and the theme kind of got waysidedT There's just a few little references like the cabin owner calling intruders "outlaws" and the clown doll being an "outlaw" because it went missing after a recall. The low FPS/snappiness was deliberate to sort of emulate older PC games and PC-PS1 ports that would run really slowly like that, especially first-person games like Myst or some Duke Nuke/Doom/Star Wars Dark Forces console ports and some PS1 games like Spyro would have limited first-person viewing and it would be choppy like that.
At last, I really liked it, and the style is amazing. As I said, continue like this, and you'll end up on "3 scary games" :)
Thanks, glad you liked it!
