- WOW! I mean like holy goodness. This is a rlly good game. Like heck you guys should just fine tune it a bit and publish it. I swear I would play this everyday if I had the time to. The amount of detail from the background going faster, to the ball animation, to the tickets coming, and the score. This is some next level work. I hope u guys publish it to steam and get lots of players. Amazing work for just 1 week of work. I couldnt rlly understand how the tickets worked but overall amazing work! Also the fun breaking the rules by being able to pull more tickets is very unique! Overall Fantastic
How have you integrated the theme in your game?
Spoilers because I want this to be discovered in the game:
I left a "DEBUG" label in the bottom-right corner as a hint that debug mode is enabled. It lets you do the kinds of things you'd want for testing, like holding the mouse down instead of timing clicks to hit orbs, or pulling out as many tickets as you want when they start coming out (I'm sure we've all tried yanking tickets out of a machine just to see if it was holding out on us, lol). Perhaps not as in-depth as it could've been, the game was designed around this bate and switch for the jam.

A wonderful time! Thank you for the spoiler warning, as we avoided reading the theme tie-in too early. The pure joy of being able to pull out those tickets. Worth a 5/5 for gameplay right there. But really, all together a true 5/5 gameplay game :)
It always baffles me how some jam games look like they are supposed to release on Steam tomorrow.
I like to view game jams as a means to pitch a full game idea, so I put a bit of effort into the visuals so that it represents a vertical slice. That said, I didn’t think this game would do that well given the simple premise, and yet it’s now my best performing itch.io game 😂
Wow the graphics are insane on this
From someone who loves Balatro, this game was such a joy to play. The art is beautiful and I absolutely love the concept. The clicker aspect is so fun. You're really onto something with this one. Drop it into a Balatro subreddit and I think you'll have a whole crowd of people wanting more.
very nice game and i love the use of shaders
I love this color style!!!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Insanely polished, hard to believe it was made for a game jam. I looked at how you implemented the theme and I definitely understand what you were going for but its definitely very subtle and the features it adds (like being able to hold down the mouse or get infinite tickets) ultimately feel like they just break/hurt the game overall. The game itself is awesome and definitely has legs to be worked on further, but I think the game would improve without the restriction of this jam theme.
I think the reason I went with this interpretation was a subconscious response to my last jam entry. It literally took someone 6 hours to beat that game. So I made it way too hard for someone to realistically experience the full game, and I kinda didn’t want that to happen here. Would’ve made more sense if I had time to implement boss rounds.
Very strong entry. The theme use is a little subtle (I had to look at the comments). The art really comes together and the transitions look very cool.
Yeah I realized a little late that it was too subtle. Hence the DEBUG label as an extra hint that something’s going on. Thanks for playing :)
Edit: Interesting enough, the double-click that sometimes happens when two marbles are nearby acts as another unintended hint. If I turn the game jam mode off, that never happens.
very nice game!)
game itself is gud but i dnt get where is the theme used
Game says to click to play. So it’s assumed (at least by everyone I had test the game) that you click the orbs. And that’s true, it will play and feels natural. But what if you click and hold the mouse instead of releasing? Likewise it says take your tickets, but what happens if you try and pull more tickets out of the system?
ohhh sry me dum
