  • I think this is an interesting start for a puzzle game. :)
  • I enjoyed playing your game. It shows a nice mechanic and displays it in challenging and interesting ways with the playable levels. The game is easy to understand but still includes optional in game tutorials which is very nice and I very much appreciate the accessibility features. I'd love to see the game expand on more ways to expand the mechanics and add depth given more time, as well as more consistency and polish in the audio and art direction. Solid demo overall - well done.

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yes

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
Yes!

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes indeed

Tell us about your game!
"Welcome to the Light Conundrum Labs! I am H.E.L.P. Bot and I will be your assistant during your journey!"
Thank you H.E.L.P. Bot, but I'll take it from here... so Light Conundrums is a 2D puzzle game about lights. Every puzzle has one or more "light sensors" that need to enabled at the same time in order to complete the level.
As for the controls, everything is explained in game, but I'll leave them here just in case:
- A,D to move
- F to pickup/drop light
- Q, E to rotate the light you’re holding
- [Space] to use elevator, interact with npcs
- Z to zoom in/out (only for some levels)
- B to turn on/off Colorblind Mode (only for some levels)

Have fun!

Extra Notes
The resolution of the game is pretty bad but I couldn't find a quick solution that didn't completely break the game. Sorry!
Also, there's no controller support, I just ran out of time. Sorry about that.

Very solid puzzle game! My only complaint is my fps was a bit low but that might just be me. You did a good job of teaching the mechanics. Really good job! keep making games!

Developer

Thank you! Yes I set the fps to 60 because I was getting glitching issues with godot on my pc

Cool game. The H.E.L.P bot is funny and the puzzles were good. The last puzzle took me a bit longer solve.

What a clean example of level design. Well thought out and the mechanics make for an interesting gameplay loop that I thoroughly enjoyed. The early on puzzle where you need to clip the light with corner to only hit the one eye was genius.

Developer

Thank you for your kind words!

Such a neat idea for a puzzle platformer. I like logic puzzles and I think there's a lot of potential here. I also found Goblin Bot :D Do I win anything?

Developer

Thank you! The Goblin Bot is definitely trying to tell you something... ;)

Short but sweet, I thought the mechanic of mixing the light colours was especially creative!
