  • Very cool entry! I played the browser version, but the preformance was never bad enough for me to have issue. I grew a total of 600~ dandelions, and i saw people in the comments recommending to despawn the dandelions. I agree they should stay, but perhaps you could find some sort of alternative, like old enough dandelions become gold and not blowable. food for thought anyway. Very simple, short and sweet, excellent idea for the theme :)

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
yes

Tell us about your game!
The main mechanic is spreading dandelions across a field by breathing in (left click), and blowing (release left click) on the dandelions' seeds. The seeds fly everywhere, you know the deal. Unlock new areas and find out what the mysterious clay tablets are used for.

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
yes

Extra Notes
The game does not run very well in web browsers, downloadable is recommended.

The controls feel so good that it immediately let me know I have to see what all is going on. Stumbling upon a mysterious pickup item pushed me to the end.

Such a nice game!

Brought back some memories from my playstation era while playing 'flower'. Thanks for making this!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! I definitely had to look up flower while planning to make sure the games weren't too similar.

Hey!

I grew up in a garden house, so this game gives me a bit of a PTSD lol :D
Very cool concept, I like games which think outside of the box, this one checks the mark big time!

Only complaint maybe is the the hitbox of "stepping on the dandelions" were not readable enough for me at lest, maybe it can get an other iteration, but definitely works like this as well, great one!

Nice to see that you thought before just started to develop, the little mechanics make it a coherent game!

Cheers

Thank you for your feedback! Did you think the stepping hitbox felt too big or too small? But yes, it shouldn't matter that much anyways. I did have a bunch of ideas for expanding the concept, but I think it was for the best that those didn't make it, since they would have made the game less coherent.

Super chill game, good time playing it too. gameplay is simple but that adds to the strength of the experience! Great work.

In terms of feedback, i found a skip that lets you skip past the last gate (still went back and finished spreading the dandelions though.) on the right side you can jump up and beat the map early.

Developer

Thank you! I never tested for shortcuts which I probably should have, good job finding it!

A relaxing puzzle game with a fun and simple world to explore. Great show.

Thank you!

I love this type of atmosphere -- fullbright elements on darkness. Reminded me immediately of Different Strokes. I'm prone to motion sickness though, and the camera effects made me quite sick and I couldn't finish. Definitely add a setting for that! You nailed the theme otherwise, well done.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! And sorry about the motion sickness, will add a setting in a post jam update.

10/10 game. There's not much here, but every elemnnt is doing as much work as it can. Truly a masterclass in understanding your abilities.

Thank you! I started late and only spent 24 hours in total on it. I made a timelapse of the process if you're interested:

Amazing work. I'd give full marks to theme interpretation on this ❤
