Awesome job making your own DAW. Cool track too.
I really loved the synth sounds! Super impressive to make your own software as well. The chord progressions were really nice but I think adding a little more rhythmic variety could generate interest in the track, it got repetitive after a while
thanks for the review.
armonyMaker allows you to create very complex backing tracks. In this case, to respect the most extreme palindromy, I had to limit the possibilities.
Sorry, I had to do it:
Not sure if this track qualifies for Super-Challenge, but it still sounds surprisingly musical considering it was procedurally generated.
It's a great track.
Thank you
Really unique, considering you made the DAW yourself!
actually the reason for my participation in the jam is just to test my software
Not entirely sure this fits into the super challenge, it kind of just seems like one loop repeating through a sequencer with a different looped drum pattern. But regardless it's nice. I'm very unfamiliar with the software you appear to have used for this as well. Looks interesting.
the software I used is not very well known, since it is my own creation. As I understand the concept of palindromy, the track I created is perfectly comparable to the reversed track. the price to pay to achieve this is obviously harmonic and melodic modularity
You created the DAW you used for this project..?
yes, this is the project page

there is also a link to soundcloud where I put some examples.
Auto Generative music sounds a lot like "AI"...
armonyMaker is a python program for auto generative music without AI, but simply using music theory
Quite nice!
I'm not sure this is correct for the super challenge as things like the drums would certainly sound different when the song plays in reverse but the text is also messed up on the option so IDK if it was intentional.
from listening to it I think you were probably going for the hard challenge where the notes are the same forewords and backwards.
Overall I liked it though It might be a tad simplistic since most notes happened on the beats and there was little syncopation to bring more depth to the song.
yes, let's say it was intentional, the base was generated by my armonyMaker software based on my options. in any case, listening to it backwards is perfectly comparable. The price of having a perfect palindromy is certainly the banality of the composition.
