Description
Made in FL studio
Genre - mixed (I don't know). At the beginning I focused on chiptune. Then - to industrial
Made with the idea that it was a soundtrack for a top-down shooter.

The main idea is that dragons are not friends or allies. Dragons are a menace that must be exterminated

***

01 Hometown that no longer exists - Memories of a happy life. But then dragons arrived from space. People expected a happy union, but the war began (Intro).

02 Dragons are fun, Soldier! - Training on the territory of a military camp. As it turned out, they were taught without understanding how to fight dragons.

03 Hello, Monsters! - First battles with dragons. Recruits die en masse, but the protagonist survives.

04 It's all dead - (Death screen).

05 Dragons aren't fun, Captain! - Almost all allies are dead. The main character alone makes his way to the White Lair through the ruins of the camps.

06 Vengeance and the White Traitor - The final battle with the Mother Dragon. The dragon merged with the only survivor from the Main Character's squad.

07 Sleep sweetly, soldiers - Mother dead. The traitor is killed. The lair has been destroyed. The main character is dead. This composition is music for the Hero from Hometown that no longer exists. (Final screen)

Theme

Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
Partially compliant. I didn't want to do a magical atmosphere because dragons are a threat

Ok this submission is a bit odd, but kinda in a good way. Like it immediately stood out to me as having a lot of character - whatever game this would accompany would have a ton of personality I imagine, like undertale-esque levels of personality. I give this my first 5 in creativity

This is a really bizarre set of tunes, I think a lot of the ideas work quite well! It's definitely offputting at times (intentionally so), but I think that it is executed well.

OK I had to listen to these like 3 times. Honestly I was not convinced the first time around, but they all pretty much really grew on me! I think the last track was my least favourite, but for all the other tracks I thought you had a really cool approach to implementing the MIDI instrument timbres. At times it kind of reminded me of a more restrained version of this Brazilian artist I like a lot that uses a lot of old-school MIDI instruments as well, his name is Loïs Lancaster (he is, with 0% irony, one of my favourite artists). Anyway, I think you explored some really fun musical ideas here! Great job

Thanks for the criticism! I'll definitely check out Lois Lancaster's work.

No worries, you should seriously keep pursuing this style! I genuinely think you've tapped onto something very cool and artful 👌

I really enjoyed the unique take on the theme! The atmosphere you captured was really cool and well done. It felt very dystopian.

The communication of atmosphere through sound effects, audio processing, and non-traditional melodies is pulled off extremely well. The alien horror vibe almost reminds me of Cruelty Squad (in a good way).
