Description
For my submission i had the idea of an exploration game set on a beautiful alien planet where the objective is to explore research and document the various flora and fauna on the planet to send back to a long distant home. it is a game of wonder but one of a melancholy and loneliness at times. To fit the sci-fi setting, i have primarily used a variety of synths and instruments in Ableton and decent sampler to create large spacious arrangements.
The pieces i have written would be used for key emotional moments in the story. For example, the track "No Longer Here" I envisioned as a potential closing track, a piece that highlights the happiness of leaving for home but bittersweet as the planet that has become so familiar over the story is left behind.
i hope that my pieces can help paint that picture of a strange and wonderous planet.

Magical? Yes! Sometimes creepy? Yes! Does No Longer Here sound epic? Yes!
This was a fun one to listen to. You nailed the vibes of loneliness in another world and the textural synths you used were very well utilized. Good job!
Really great work! My favorite track is Fields of Ether.
There were some really fantastic buildups in these tracks!
Ethereal Plain: Right away, the cinematic soundscape has my full attention! The harmonic choices are not the most common, which really helps with the otherworldly feel! My favorite part is the alien-like vocals at the end that seem to morph in the outro.
Fields of Ether: This track is really soothing. There is a sense about it that it could possibly be played backwards to create a brand new sound, which I think maybe comes from the lightly pulsing pads. I like the chords and melody you chose!
No Longer Here: The build-up of this track feels like a countdown to blast off. I like the long crescendo as the overall shape of this track. There is a lot of emotion packed into this track with the tension-filled chords and the heavy epic drums. This track is my favorite!
The Reach: The piano playing the two notes in the background a major 7th apart give this track an alien-like, but also a foreboding sound. The overdrive effect is really cool, and I also like that you chose to return to the reverby piano to finish off your OST.
Overall: I think this is a creative, but also very appropriate interpretation of the theme which surprisingly hasn’t been too common from the submissions that I have seen. You captured the space/alien sound and these 4 tracks together work really well together to create a cohesive soundtrack that also tells a story. Well done and thank you for sharing!
When listening to this soundtrack, my mind immediately went to Starfield. I can totally see myself looking through star systems on a map and exploring new planets! Congrats on the submission!!
I have to say you've done a great job, I particularly enjoy the second track "Fields of Ether", it gives me Outer Wilds vibes and I really like that.
You created a beautiful and mesmerizing atmosphere, love it.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere! You did a great job building the world.
Wow, I love the artwork and the ambient sound. Defiantly gives the feel that you are on a planet! Dude, just a beautiful feel and wonder I hear when listening. Great job!
Love that ambient sound ! and they are very gentle i love that :) lovely motiv of music, it emphasize a lot your main idea.
I think you could work a lot on dynamic for the third track.
The mix is fine but a bit muddy for the last one.
Great job! You struck a really good balance between the wonder and loneliness you talked about in your description. The big synths give that sense of vastness and exploration, while the piano pulls everything back to give that melancholic feel. Also love the artwork!
Love the artwork! Love the spacey theme too! Like I said on a few other submissions here you set a good atmosphere which is something I need to start working on! That first track piano sound is smooth!
Sounds great, good work! Keep it up!
