As someone who was also inspired by slice-of-life for their submission and has written music based on the seasons in the past, I loved hearing your take on those ideas! The variety here is really great. Your tracks have a lot of character and do a good job of representing each season in a different (and fitting) way. I especially like the solo piano compositions! I don't mind the mixture of different types of recording (I actually really like it) but I do think putting a little bit more attention towards the mixing and mastering process would go a long way. Lovely submission!
As a big fighting game fan, I'm glad someone did a fighting game submission! The instrumentation here is super cool and you also have some really sick rhythms and chord changes! I will say there are some moments where the character themes feel a little too chill for a fighting game, so I was wanting a bit more intensity. Very cool project!
Your choice of instruments is really successful in creating that nighttime, nostalgic atmosphere (especially that mix of delay guitar and electric piano). The harmonies are really cool too and add a little mystery to the project, which fits well with your idea of rediscovering lost memories. Something minor to think about for the future is the mixing (everyone's FAVORITE part of music making I know), as the drums were getting drowned out a bit. Nice work!
P.S. Have you ever heard the album Paper Castles by Alice Phoebe Lou? Your project reminded me of it :)
Visual novel gang! Everything on the technical/production end here is incredibly well done. The way you mesh electronic and acoustic sounds together is super seamless and fluid. I do feel like the voicemails cheapen the experience a little bit and the story would still be told effectively without them, but that might just be a me thing. Amazing work aside from that though!
It was a really good idea to assign specific story/character roles to each of the instruments. I think the compositions fit the dark/light theme well, but I would've liked to hear a bit more of the love and romance ideas come through. I also wonder if experimenting with soundfonts instead of BBCSO might suit the RPG Maker idea a bit more. Overall nice work!
