Description
I didn't really have a genre I wanted to focus on. I just wanted it to be dream like. Each track represents either a character, area or misc. I composed every track in FL Studio.

Message from the artist
Hi. I don't really know what to say here. I spent a lot of time making this and hopefully people will like this soundtrack. ok baii :]

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
I tried to make the soundtrack dream like, the story of the "game."
I highly encourage you to read the story while listening to the soundtrack. (the story is in the main page of the soundtrack btw!!!)

Heh, I've been wanting to listen to your soundtrack for ages! And you know what? I loved it! Diverse, stylish, crazy and creative!

nightmare is my favorite.... IT'S INSANE.

Thank you!

I really liked your Debussy's inspirations, especially in "stranger". Great variety of tracks, good job!

yo! really cool tracks here! many of the tracks feel yume-nikki/omori/earthbound inspired which i’m absolutely loving. you captured that dream aesthetic super well. the mixing of chiptune, synths, and realer sounding instruments is quite well done. i’m glad i checked this one out!

OK Toby Fox I hear you! I heard a lot of undertale sounds specifically songs that sounded like true lab and omega flower.

good entry.

I like the small 8 bit remixes for some of the songs really adds a nice touch to the track. the amen break heavy song was a treat to me and fits the theme on confronting the nightmare

the only bad thing is the how the songs are arranged in the YouTube playlist with the first song being at the very bottom, so having this playlist play in background gave me whiplash when the nightmare song came in suddenly after 2 minutes lol.

Developer

ty!!!!!! and also thanks for pointing out that the playlist was arranged incorrectly. sorry!

This is so well realized and fun! Amazing work

A full 12 track OST. You madman, and you did get the dream thematic down on most entries. Awesome work!

A lot of really cool and interesting ideas here. I'm definitely getting the dream-like vibe you were going for. I escpecially liked the instrumentation you used for "BRAT!" and "nightmare"; it all works really well. Nice work!

Quite a sick 8bit soundtrack!

Submitted

i liked the instrumentation overall, and im very surprised you used the megalovania guitar lmao. my biggest issue is that the songs feel a little empty, but other than that, its really great!

Nice job! Standouts for me were Stranger, Green Guy and BRAT! I am always impressed with chiptune orchestration, and you certainly kept that bar high for me! Really well done!

It's cool! It's very clear that Undertale is your main inspiration for this OST as I can very clearly hear which tracks refer to each part of the Undertale soundtrack, but I like the way you took it.

aero is my favourite!

Okay holy yeah this is one of my favourite entries so far, your style shines through and really reminds me of the little bit i have heard of games like Omori and Earthbound, and i can totally imagine this all being in a 2d top down pixel based rpg with trippy graphics and the like, and listening along as i read the story made so much sense to me. I think you did a very good job at capturing the strange and unnerving story that Jane is going through, and I was so excited to get to each next song. No real complaints, I think you have a very strong voice as a composer and artist and hope I get to see more work you do in the future!! Taking such an abstract concept and making something so cohesive in this short a period is no easy task.

I really love the minimalistic style at play here, as every track feels like it's refined down to its most pure state, and nothing overstays its welcome. I also like your use of N64 sounds and other soundfonts to blend chiptune-y sounds with more modern pop instrumentation, especially so on tracks like "dream" and "BRAT".  The pivot to jungle/breakcore on "nightmare" is amazing.

I recognized a bunch of N64 sounds in there thats insteresting. Although I feel like I don't see any cohesion between all the songs, I would not know its the same game, alot of tracks do not seem to have some elements that groups them together. Composition wise, I think you have some work to do, some ideas are good but I feel some trouble to interpret them in a good way. I enjoyed the drum n base track Nightmare though, good job.
