Wow, thanks for taking the time to leave such insightful feedback! Working outside of chiptune was definitely a struggle, but I'm glad I was able to take that step with this jam. I think your points are all valid and echo a lot of my own thoughts now that I've had a chance to reflect a bit on my soundtrack. I think I focused too much on trying to write my melodies and chord progressions, so my mixing was definitely on the back burner. Definitely something to work on for future tracks.

I really appreciate you leaving such a detailed breakdown of your thoughts on my soundtrack. I'm honored you enjoyed listening and your feedback has given me a lot to consider. Thanks again!

It's clear to me that a lot of thought and effort went into this submission. Great compositions, leitmotifs, a compelling story, this soundtrack has it all. Congrats on creating such a pretty and complete soundtrack, this is definitely up there as one of my favorites to listen to!

The main thing that stuck out to me in your submission is how much personality each of your tracks have. I think you've done a wonderful job portraying different scenes throughout your soundtrack. Like others have mentioned, I believe that some adjustments to your mixing could elevate this soundtrack to another level (for example there were some cases where I thought the woodwinds were taking up just a bit too much and were drowning each other out). However, this is a tiny nitpick in an overall fantastic submission. Great work on this and thank you very much for sharing!

I loved the energy in your tracks. Super bouncy and catchy, with some really interesting chords being used. Imagining the fireflies as little harp sounds is a very creative interpretation too. I'm glad you were able to submit for this jam, thanks for sharing!

I’ve noticed a trend in this jam where orchestral soundtracks have been absolutely incredible, and your submission is no exception. Your pieces are all brilliantly written and complement your game well. Not much else for me to add, this soundtrack just slaps. Awesome job!

The sound design in this is off the charts. I listened to this soundtrack a second time to try and pick apart all of the different sounds I was hearing.  The build ups in the 2nd track were done brilliantly as well. Congrats on making such a stellar soundtrack with an effective story!

I remember your submission to last year's jam so I was super excited to listen to this. As expected, this soundtrack was a great listen. Making 10 unique tracks of this quality in only a weeks time is really impressive (I was scrambling to just finish five lmao). The listening guide also worked wonders to get me immersed in the idea for your video game. I can see how the ocean sound effects could get a bit distracting but I personally didn't really mind. This is a great submission and you should be really proud of what you produced here.

(Also I think I might've mentioned this last year but ur so based for using beepbox. It was the first program I used when I was getting into chiptune so I'm quite fond of it.)

My goodness, these are some insanely well done compositions. I think you've really captured the spirit of JRPG music with this soundtrack. The third track was a stand out for sure, very epic and fitting for a final boss. I remember listening to your submission for last year's jam and dare I say you've managed to one-up yourself here. Awesome work as always and I'm excited to hear more of your music in the future!

Wow this soundtrack took me on a whole journey!  I usually have a pretty long commute in the mornings but this helped all of that fly by. I found the piano pieces in particular to be brilliantly written. Formidable use of leitmotifs throughout the entire soundtrack as well. With the runtime being 20+ mins, this is one of the most complete submissions I’ve listened to that tells an interesting story from beginning to end. Great work!

Very nice compositions! Aside from the percussion and instrumentation themselves, those quick little piano patterns are what really stick out to me in these tracks. It was really insightful getting to read through your thought process about the theme and your interpretation. Mixing is 100% something that you pick up as you continue to practice (I still struggle with it myself) so I wouldn't worry too much about it. More importantly, I think your foundation and compositional skills are great and I'd love to hear more of your work in the future!

Very cozy and wholesome vibes here! Your arrangements are all beautiful and I can hear the Octopath and Ghibli inspiration. To be honest I don't have much else to add, this is a brilliant submission

Such a beautiful sounding OST! You write for piano and strings really well and I'm definitely gonna take inspiration from this for future pieces that I write. Speaking of, what VST did u use for the strings? It sounds really nice.

Yeahh this one's a banger. So many interesting and unique styles condensed into this OST. I especially liked the vibe and melody in Stardust Coast, and you made a nighttime variant of this track too! Awesome work with this one, it was a pleasure to listen to.

Awesome soundtrack! I really liked your use of synths and the sound effects scattered throughout each track. You also do a great job explaining what each track is written for and they totally fit within their descriptions. This is a fantastic submission.

Very nice chiptune submission! It's always great listening to tracks that work with a limited soundchip cuz it forces people to get creative with their sounds, and this is no exception. Also I really like the amount of effort you put into the project page. It was nice reading through it while listening to your soundtrack.

Wow, I really like this soundtrack! Your synth work is fantastic. Your instrument selection was great and helps to get the context of each track across (using steel drums for Baile en la Playa for instance). It was nice to hear your motifs come together in your final track, which was a really nice way to wrap up your soundtrack. Great submission!

Absolute banger of a soundtrack. Big band jazz always sounds great when done well. Grand Summer Prix has so much energy in it and is definitely a stand out track. You should be really proud of what you've been able to cook up in a week!

Very nice soundtrack! I think I share the same sentiments as the feedback listed below, but overall this was a very enjoyable listen. Comforted by Stars was such a chill and relaxing track, perfect for a stargazing type level. Great submission and I hope to hear more of your work in the future!

Definitely one of my favorite submissions I’ve listened to so far. This is a brilliantly written JRPG soundtrack. What really stood out to me was the way you write for strings and percussion. It all just screams quality. Awesome stuff!

This is definitely one of the most unique soundtracks I've heard so far. It was great listening to the ideas in each individual track and reading the descriptions you provided. I'm a sucker for 8-bit sounding tracks so I loved the groove in 'A game on the phone'. Nice submission!

I really like your game concept and the direction you took your soundtrack! I’d say ‘A lullaby for a psychopath’ is probably my favorite track. I liked the off putting chord progressions you used for that one. This was a great listen overall. Great job!

This soundtrack has a ton of personality and charm. I liked the variety of instruments across the entire soundtrack and the accordion ties all of the tracks together nicely. Your composition skills are on full display here and it makes for an excellent soundtrack, backed by a really fun and unique idea for a game. Great submission!

Synthwave is such an interesting genre so submissions like these are always a pleasure to listen to. I also liked the use of sound effects to accompany your story. Unfortunate that things didn’t work out with your vocals but I know that it can be hard to make ends meet on a time crunch like this. Regardless, you’ve still put together a nice soundtrack that tells a short, but comprehensive story. Great job!

I really like the idea behind your game. Very wholesome! And your tracks match that theme really well. I could only imagine the kind of soundtrack you’d produce if you had the whole week to work on this. Nonetheless I had a great time listening.

This submission was a great listen. Your soundtrack covers a really wide range of scenarios which makes the whole thing feel very complete, and the quality of your tracks speak for themselves. I really liked the range of instruments you used for tracks such as 'Boiling Brine'. Makes me wish I could read a more fleshed out description of the game this soundtrack is for.  Thanks for sharing!

Very very pretty ost! I can definitely hear some Breath of the Wild flair in your tracks. I always enjoy hearing more ambient soundtracks as it's something I struggle with writing. I think your tracks do a wonderful job of selling the type of game they represent. Great submission!

Always great to see chiptune submissions in these jams. You make great use of the beeps and boops to keep your tracks sounding interesting. I loved the energy and harmonies you put into tracks like 'Defender of' and 'Finals In'. This was a great listen with a lot of creative ideas sprinkled throughout each track.

This is the first submission I'm rating for this jam and I'm glad I'm starting off with such a banger. I really like the concept of this game, being a guide for lost souls. I think all of your tracks flow nicely into each other and set up the vibe of the game well. I especially liked the melody in the second track. It has a subtle 'haunting' vibe to it which feels very appropriate for its context. It was an absolute pleasure listening to your soundtrack for Comp Jam #7 last year and this submission is no different.

What a unique submission! I really dig the atmospheric vibe of this soundtrack. It was a nice change of pace that made for a fantastic listening experience. I'm gonna save these tracks for the next time I boot up some minecraft or something. Awesome job!

The vibes of this soundtrack are immaculate. The blending of those synths with classical orchestra is a beautiful touch. You do a great job of capturing the sort of whimsical feeling of a child's imagination and you explain your reasoning behind each track really well. This is a wonderful submission and you should be really proud! Well done!

These tracks are so pretty! The first track was super sweet and relaxing. I also really liked the journey that second track took me on- so many different ideas and moods that worked so seamlessly with each other. This is all quality stuff here. This is a fantastic submission!

Wow, this is one of the chillest and well-produced submissions I've come across. I really like the variety of sounds you used. It kind of reminds me of Celeste's OST- I wonder if it was an inspiration for this soundtrack. I think you nailed the vibe you were going for and you should be really proud of the quality of this soundtrack. Congrats!

This is a really fun and sweet sounding soundtrack! The bubble tracks indeed sound very bubbly- great choice of instruments there. Dash to the Docks is also quite upbeat and catchy which is perfect for a racing theme. I like the idea you had for your game and you definitely represented it well with your soundtrack!

A very relaxing and charming soundtrack! All of these tracks have a pleasant gentleness to them which is a welcome change of pace for this jam. My favorite track was probably Light of Hope although I loved the folk vibe in Tavern Bardsong. This was a beautiful submission, great job!

Let's gooo another beepbox enthusiast! I mentioned this before but it truly does astound me just how creative these chiptune entries can be with their sound design. Submissions like these give me the inspiration to try new things with my tracks and experiment with new sounds. There are a lot of great ideas in here and with a 35 min runtime, it's one of the most complete soundtracks I've seen in this jam. You've clearly put a lot of effort into this and it's paid off tremendously!

Very cool and unique submission!  I love the direction you took with these tracks, they all have such a cool sound to them. The composition is on point and the sound design is stellar (I'll definitely be checking out Bound to Divide on YT). I had a great time with this soundtrack, awesome job!

This is one of the most creative interpretations of the theme that I've encountered so far. I grew up watching my cousins play horror games and this soundtrack just took me right back to those days. I think writing some more chilled out and relaxing tracks was a good call- it definitely works within the context of your game. You should be really proud of this! Everything from the excellent cover art, to the game concept, to the soundtrack itself exudes quality. Great submission!

You have a beautiful composition style! This was a super bubbly and charming soundtrack where all the tracks were tied together really well. That second track definitely stood out to me the most. The Baroque style is truly a work of art when done well. I had a great time listening to this. Excellent entry!

It's always great to see how much work people put into creating the world their soundtrack is based off of. The story and context you provide helps tie all the tracks together and keep listeners engaged throughout the entire run time. Creating this deep of a soundtrack in approximately a week is no small feat. Awesome job!

Very very nice submission! I loved the chords in the first track- it gave a really pretty and melancholic feel. The instruments/sounds you chose in the second track work really well together and help nail that dreamy vibe you were going for. Two tracks were all you needed to produce a quality soundtrack!

Btw on an unrelated note, after the second track finished SoundCloud auto-queued Giratina for me. That track goes hard just thought you should know.
