Okay... it's official: your ambient is one of my favorites! It's an incredible variety and flow of electronica..... Synthesizers doing vocals? LOVE IT!

Honestly, I had an incredibly enjoyable time listening to your soundtrack.

Thank you!

Thank you very much!

Cool track! Detune and ominous sounds awakes my inner code.  I loved the selection of sounds you chose.

Really cool and love the microtonal concept (new to me). Thanks for the submission, that's some pretty cool work you got there!

Probably a good call to consider it a single track since it really is kind of just variations of a single idea. I liked how it would get more and less almost angular in tone at points it was a cool vibe

Wonderful soundscape you created! Enjoyed the different elements and how they worked together. Only real criticism is that I'm not sure how well it would really work in the context of a video game (as people generally aren't sitting on a menu for 8 minutes).

Really neat sounds!

Thank you! I just dont see a music inside gameplay I imagine. As I've said its stealth+survival game, and maximum what should be in game is ambient synths, pads and other elements to give unsettling atmosphere, but not catching attention of player. As in all NieR games, vocals made in created language to avoid distraction from the game.

I liked the chord progression you used. Kind of reminded me of some of the darker levels of Celeste. I also loved how it built upon itself and the creative sound choices. Great job!

Day 3 of Rating Albums With Few Ratings To Hopefully Get Some In Return

Microtones? At this time of year? At this type of jam? Entirely located in your submission?

Joking aside, chosing something so challenging to the average listener for a jam like this is pretty brave. It sticks out postively from the masses, even from other synth stuff, by its unique harmonic approach. I like how the texture slowly develops, giving me a chance to slowly engulf myself in the unusual intervals, finding beauty and uglyness in them, both. Thats a hallmark of microtonal music for me.

I can see how you view these as one track, but I do feel the texture is different enough, were the individual sections developed upon for longer, maybe with some more rhythmic elements, that they could easily pass off as 3 tracks. Sometimes we need to not work harder, but smarter :D

Anyway, love this one - just unsure of its "Commercial Appeal".

EDIT: Ever heard of Sevish?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your review! No didn't knew about Sevish, but I'll check about him today, I'm really new to microtonal stuff, this is my third microtonal work of all time.

About commerical appeal, I actually newer think about it, I just like to see that my music was heard and that's all.

Again thank you for rating, i've also rated back, you have interesting soundtrack! My favorite is first one.

I really enjoyed the forlorn and haunting sort of sound that this started out with, and how it evolved to be much more foreboding without losing that initial touch of sadness and loss :3 It's the sort of thing I would listen to while trying to write because it's charged with just the right amount of emotion without being overpowering. It definitely has a survival/post-apocalyptic edge to it that I love!

Thank you! Appreciate your review!

The microtonal sound is awesome and works really well. It gives the track a very unique atmosphere. The development throughout the track is good, but I think that it maybe could have been paced a little faster to avoid too much repetition. Overall it sounded great and was very unique.

Developer

Thank for review, I will try to apply your feedback to my next works!

Nice ambient sound scape. Subjectively I would maybe like a little bit more variety - meaning musicaly. Otherwise, good work! :)

Developer

Yes, you right, I've just couldn't to think of something to add vertically (is this how it's called?). Thank you for review! I appreciate it!

Submitted(+1)

Well vertically you can add to create different colors (if i can name it like so). What I meant mainly was more variety melodically (how the melody/ies progress) and harmonically (how the chords progress).

Beautiful!! Really enjoyed the synths that were used!

Thank you for rating, I appreciate this!
