Description
Mobile survival game
Mobile casual game

Message from the artist:
I'm glad to have found a jam in which I am not codependent on a game developer.

My album, so to speak, is based around a hypothetical mobile game in which the player must complete an objective, in some sense of the word, for minute-long rounds. Time is kept by using an hourglass. I imagine the "Ticking Around" track going faster with each passing round so that the player has to do tasks in less time, thus adding to the challenge.

Thanks for checking out my entry.

Theme:

Tick Tock...
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
"Clocking In" has a ticking sound reminiscent of a clock.
"Breaking the 4th Dimension" has a dreamy sound, which goes well with the blurred clocks in the picture.
"Ticking Around" goes on for a minute and 2 seconds. The cadence occurs at the 1-minute mark so that the player knows that time is up.

Very nice! I like the casual approach to the game - it doesn't always have to be some giant super dramatic video game, it can be just a nice mobile game yo pass the time.

I really like the first track! You captured an excellent atmosphere, and the production helps elevate it to greatness.

The second track is pretty cute, and delivers of that tutorial feeling - the kind of random percussion, the minimal production and the broken up melody.

The last track is nice. I like the minimal instrumentation on it, and the melody is pretty catchy. Harmonically, it feels like it's not staying in one place, but it's also not taking massive leaps either, which feels pretty smooth.

Overall, very nice!

Such great piano parts! Especially in the Gameplay theme. The Menu theme is relaxing and beautiful. Then.. That Tutorial haha! Super creative track honestly, I could feel like a player totally lost and rushed by this music while trying to get all the informations. Funny choice and a nice one in my opinion ^^

Great job :)

Adding on to the previous comments here, tutorial theme is a banger.

Similar to what LBC said before, I like the idea of a tutorial theme attempting to disrupt the tutorial with a wild theme like that. Also got some Tetris vibes from the Gameplay theme. Great stuff!

I'll admit, I loled when I thought about a tutorial track that actively tries to distract the player :) I really like the idea of a game composed of 60 second minigames where the soundtrack adds a deliberately confounding element. I don't know if that's what you were going for, but now it's for sure something I want.

Quite skilled piano playing :)

The tutorial is an unhinged piece, however kind of distracting due to volume.

Really liked the first track! The second one also had some wild ideas, though it might be a little too distracting for a tutorial? Still, pretty neat entry!

I was very pleasantly surprised by Clockin in (Tutorial). Great choice of dissonance! Although the piano sound is a little loud in the mix, I really like it.

For Ticking Around (Gameplay), the syncopated change on the second half is a great idea. You restart the same theme but with a twist that keeps the music interesting.

Hi there! Super thrilled to see you here! Tutorial Theme sounds like something from Animal Crossing but the unpredictable rhythms makes it sound rather unsettling and kinda interesting. The B section in Ticking Around sounds so good and I especially like the cadence and how the entire piece comes to a close. Well done!

The piano theme is really nice and stuck with me - feels like it could be a modern take on an 80s style video game soundtrack. I had a bit harder to see the tutorial theme fit in a game, but the menu piece is creative and suitable for  a certain type of games.
