Description
These are 3 tracks based off of the same theme In D (major or minor depending on the demands of the piece)

Each has a very unique but still a "big" orchestral sound which would suit a fantasy RPG game.


To Adventure is your typical oppening title sequence, you might imagine it being played in a Tavern whilst many an ale are consumed.

Clash of the Fang is a fight scene, very much in th elines of Yoko Shimumura, fast paced strings with some heavy metal drums for good measures, it is hard not to get pumped up by this track.

To lose a comrade is as it says on the tin, you are in game, one of your trusted allies has fallen and there is no Phoenix Down to bring them back up this time. Their sacrifice will allow ytou and your other comrades the ability to carry on and complete your quest, save the world. For them.

All of these were created using Cakewalk and Metropolis Arc 1 VSTs

I had a huge amount of fun with this. This was just after I bought Metropolis so got to experiment a lot with what it is capable of.

Story of Seasons
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
The seasons were allies once, centuries ago when they were all as one, but since their split into the 4 planes, they have been at war, vying for conrtrol and supremacy. This war affected our plane of existance, the seasons forever changing, crops dying, animals distresed, humankind, teetering on the edge. This is what spurns our brave adventurer on, placing themself at teh centre of the elements and their harsh ways, with them being exposed to them, initially on their own but eventually with allies to calm them, to bring them peace so that the worlds may carry on as they were.

Incredible work that is absolutely way above my paygrade - to me it sounds like it could easily belong in a MMORPG. Congrats.

Ah, a Cakewalk user ! Good to see people using this DAW honestly, it's the one that started it all for me (putting aside LMMS...). Other than that I'm hooked to Clash of the Fang, it sounds like a classic Final Fantasy battle theme, the rythmic pattern is quite unique also, gets you ready for action. Other than that, To Adventure would work really well as an overworld map theme.

To Adventure: I like your exploration in instrumentation in using strings, harp, and both low and high woodwinds. The music builds as you add in new instruments which gives the arc of the entire song a nice rounded feeling. The I-V-IV progression definitely helps produce the happy atmosphere. It would have been nice to hear some variation with a minor chord or a deceptive cadence, but this works very well as a title theme which are usually not meant to be long loops anyway.

Clash of the Fang: The use of 18/8 (or 12/8 + 6/8) time immediately catches the attention and places the listener in a situation where they feel off-guard, thereby enhancing the chaotic battle feeling that you want the player to feel. I also appreciate the sense of additional chaos that the fast and intense piano runs give off in the background. This track would get me pumped to engage in battle for sure!

To Lose a Comrade: The use of choir definitely helps give off the epic mourning vibe you intended. I noticed that the chord progression is very similar to the previous track and with them being in the same key, it sounds like these are variations of the same song and would work well as a situational or character theme in your game.

Overall: I think your strength is in creating a gameplay setting in your mind and figuring out how to have your music explain that setting as much as possible. I appreciate your use of a common theme to help tie these tracks together so that it is clear they are all part of the same story. Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work!
