Wasn't this designed for a different jam, and that is against the spirit of the jam, as you had more than the 48 hours that everyone else had?

Developer

i literally designed this from Saturday morning until Sunday evening, including the gimp tiles. I've been tweaking it since then, I can submit the original version if you want to rate it more fairly.

I saw the chance to put it also in the 24xx and weekly jam as I felt it fit the other themes (cyberpunk and "two button physics") but if anything, the main jam was and always has been OPR.

Is returning a player from the bench to the board a free action or does it replace a normal (B) action?

Developer

initially I had written it so you could either recover a player from the bench OR activate a player.

My idea now was to simplify all that so replacing IS activating a player. I'm making fixes all the time, don't know if it's allowed for the jam. Note that I'm on version 5 already

I really like this. The only big sports miniatures game I have been able to get into is Blood Bowl and it is such a huge time sync. This seems way more doable. When you talk about bumping it says that the the pushed player is pushed a number of spaces equal to the movement and then it talks about the weight difference. Does that mean the weight difference modifies that bump?

Developer

Weight has few importance right now. I had trouble fitting the weight as a distance modifier rule; that a heavier player pushes 1 extra square per weight degree and is pushed 1 less.

Its also used right now towards the immobile skill

I'm still testing things so I'll make sure it's well written and that the weight rules are meaningful

Neat idea!  I’m definitely hoping you develop this idea further, cause I’m digging the hacking+sports vibe.

I'm actually already developing it! 48h is too few for the ramifications... Uploading 1.05 now
