Wow, best cinematics ever for a gamejam! I felt like I was watching a movie and there was a massive call to action! Also thought your joke about the dev not having enough time was really funny. The game itself is fairly basic, but I like that it is educational :) Good job!
Thanks so much. I was planning to keep it simple with AE but the filmmaker in me got carried away. It cost me though because of the render times. Thanks so much for hosting this awesome jam. This was my first ever and a great experience 100%
Awesome, love to hear a first time jammer having a good experience! And that film maker spirit definitely made your game stand out as unique! Great job!
I especially liked the music, the intro sure was building to something! but then the future-lady said it didn't matter, and I was less amped to recycle the things...
I think it needed to introduce the bins and what they were for, I didn't know what the different colours were for, and because there was no penalty for getting it wrong I was just randomly dragging by the end and didn't learn a thing :/
Maybe she should be REALLY annoying, and when you recycle she starts fading from exisitence since you are changing the future by recycling ;)
LMAO, I definitely am changing that lol. Thank you for some great points. I'm going to definitely make changes. I'm entered in the PigSquad "Finish Your Game" Jam. So I have a reason to finish this. I'm 100% adding a LOT more. With more branching choices, more mini games, and develop a more complete story arch.
Thanks so much. I totally agree. I was just grabbing stuff from free sources and slapping them together. However, cohesive design is critical both in gaming and film. A clear and consistent vision is always important. Next time I'm going to definitely pay attention to that. Thanks so much for the feedback :)
There was a surprising amount of cinematic for the game. I enjoyed the artwork and music that you chose for it and I was definitely not expecting the introduction to have such a flourish. If it had a proper ending or something beyond putting the last piece into it's receptacle, it would be top notch.
Thanks so much. I really appreciate the feedback. I definitely am going to plan better next time to ensure I can make something more complete. I will finish this one though lol. Taking everybody's critiques and applying them to the final cut XD
Wow, I was not expecting an intro as cinematic as this lol. Nice touch with the text box and character. I think a little bit of info would help the player during the actual game, ex. what the difference between the green and blue bins is.
Excellent point. I'm definitely loving the great points and feedback. I think one of the greatest parts of doing these jams is the ability to listen to others and see what works and doesn't. Thank so much :)
Haha. VERY short. Honestly, I was kind of surprised how many I got wrong. Thought the cardboard milk jug was for sure recyclable! haha. I really enjoyed the intro! Very cinematic! The text box and character were nice. I could really relate with the dev on this! haha. The story had somewhere to go! Would have loved to see more. :D A couple of thoughts:
Definately expand! Was to short. Could be a cool "I-spy" or "wheres waldo" type of game where you have a list of things you need to sort within a scene.
Obviously consistency in the graphics. I think if you went the "real photos" way but photoshopped each element as its own item I could fit well.
Thanks, and I really appreciate the feedback. Now that the Jam is over I would like to go back and tighten it up and definitely add (taking notes on what you said). I'm playing yours now. I'm already loving the vaporwave aesthetic :)
Sweet! Definitely keep me in the loop! And thanks! Nothing fits an 80s shoot more than vaporwave I think. haha. Hopefully its not too difficult. I play a lot of shmups so Its hard for me to gauge how people will take it. Looking forward to what you do with it! :D

The cutscene was cool! The artstyle and audio mix was a bit all over the place though .. Overall nice game especially with the narrative intro :)

Overall not much to comment on. Good work. :)
