Love the mechanics in this game! Listen to our review of it and all the other submissions on a special episode of our podcast here: https://anchor.fm/nestalgia/episodes/S05---NEStalgia-Game-Jam-euj95s

this was so much fun! took me a bit to figure out the whole cross jumping thing but other then that it was a blast to play!

Nice work! Smooth animations and a cute character! I really like the mechanic of sling shot-ing and gliding! It could absolutely hold up for more levels. The only bug I encountered was a flickering dialouge box before the boss fight - which I by accident figured out could be won by standing on the left and waiting for the attack. All-in-all, well done!

I'm happy that you liked it thank you! I realsied too late that the boss can be cheesed, but did'nt have time to tweak it, maybe next time.

I'm glad you liked the mechanics, I was trying to make a simple control scheme that could be used in more complex ways and I'm glad that came across

Thank you again!

Really pretty game, I would have liked to have some more levels in this! Unfortunately I died a few times because the game would only sporadically throw the cross while floating, but easy to forgive. Great game!

Thank you so much for the feedback, it's really appreciated!

More levels were something I wanted to add but ran out of time

The cross bug is something i'll need to look into

Thank you again!

Damn, this is some quality stuff! Also, it is by far the entry with the most NES-vibe of the ones I've tried so far ^^ Graphics, sounds, are amazing and it controls very well too! I just wish there was moar! The one thing I can complain about is the over-use of dithering in the background, but that is easy to forgive when everything else is so clearly defined and beautiful!

Well done guys!

Thank you so much, i'm glad you enjoyed it!

I really wanted to add more levels but ran out of time sadly, I agree on the backgrounds completely. They were a quick and dirty solution

Thanks again
