Wonderful game! We reviewed it on a special episode of our podcast here: https://anchor.fm/nestalgia/episodes/S05---NEStalgia-Game-Jam-euj95s

Thank you very much for playing! I listened to your podcast immediately when it came out and will now listen to it regularly now, great podcast. And thanks for your feedback on the podcast, happy you enjoyed it :)

the game is very challenging, but I loved it ! The art style is really cool, too.

Thank you so much! Happy you enjoyed it!

I could not understand how to play the game although the graphics are good.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback ElectricIceBird. Not sure what your issue was when playing, but if you have troubles figuring out the controls, check the game page for instructions. The game itself does tell you how to use the sword and the resurrection abilities in text boxes in the first few areas.

Yo, this was really fun! Had a bit of a challenge getting through the bat and key part, but all in all that was really cool!

btw you could uncheck the debug tick in godot when exporting, so the cmd thing won't show up when you're playing. I just learned that one as well :)

Developer

Thanks for playing, glad you had fun :)

Regarding the debug, I did untick the box before exporting it (in "Projects" dropdown) and can't find any other boxes to uncheck, but I'll investigate and play around with that a bit, thanks for the hint!

Oh really? wonder why that is then. as far as I know its because of debbuging left on while exporting. could be a project setting issue. hope you'll figure it out.

Woah, I spent more time than I want to admit on this game! I found it hard because the controls wasn't to responsive, but I also found it very cool and wanted to see it through to the end, which I eventually did with all 10 collectibles! :D

Had lots of fun, thanks for making it ^^

Developer

Thanks! Yeah I have one slight bug there that I couldn't figure out, when it changes states sometimes you have to hit "Hit" twice for the character to actually swing the sword. Happy you enjoyed it! :)

Yeah! That bug happened here and there, got me killed a few times :P I think it was mostly happening directly after using the mind-control thing. Maybe.

Developer

I think so. The state change does happen as planned, but then for one press it doesn't recognize the input. Let's call it a "feature" :D

Everything is a feature in a game jam ;)
