Feels like a mix between DOS and NES, but is quite elaborate, a nice point & click! Cool puzzles, a few bugs here and there (mainly due to state not being persisted) I wish there were more to do, good work!!

(Somehow the scrollwheel is also usable but I think that’s a minor overlook)

It's too bad this did not have more content. This has some serious potential and should be further developed!

Notes:

  • You can save all the princes you want by repeatedly hitting the switch to the prison cell on the first screen!

Thanks for the feedback! We had quite a bit of content planned originally, but we pretty quickly realized we had our hands full just with the game mechanics and assets we did make. Glad you liked it!

Cool Game, a few little quirks like not being able to read the text on screen and the little red guy keeps coming everytime I pull the level at the beginning but pretty fun. Definitely agree with other that it felt more MS-DOS and not so much NES but I enjoyed it.

Thanks for playing! We had some pixel fonts, but couldn't quite get them to show up pixel-perfect, so we just added in the anti-aliasing. Glad you enjoyed it!

Overall cool game, I couldn't went through the doors with all the gems, not sure what I did wrong

Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately we weren’t able to finish the last section of the game. That door doesn’t work in the current build, but you practically finished the game.

The game is beautiful, love the graphics, love the music, and you nailed the oldschool point-and-click gameplay to the dot! I gotta say this would feel more at home on MS-DOS than the NES... all-in-all, fantastic work!

Lovely graphics! But I couldn’t call it 5 stars because there’s clearly more colors in play than a NES could handle.

Thanks for playing! Yeah, that's definitely a fair point. I didn't know about the limited colors thing until I saw the conversation in the Discord, and we'd already made a lot of our assets by then.

Hi, the game is great and I had a lot of fun playing up to there but I've been wondering whether it's possible to go further than that or if it's as far as we can go as there seems to be an animation indicating the characters are entering the tower yet they don't (note that the door only opens if you use the gems in the right order which is a bit confusing as they're inserted into the right hole either way).

Unfortunately, our ending was pretty rushed, so what you've reached is the end. I'm glad you liked it up to that point though!

No problem, I just wanted to be sure, great work anyway!

Thank you!

Very creative, the art style is very well done. It looks you put a lot of detail on it.

The only thing is that after collecting objects, I wasn't sure what to do next, but besides that, good job on your game!!

Thank you! Unfortunately we ran out of time to add a tutorial level to explain the mechanics better. For anyone reading this in the future, you can use items from your inventory to interact with items in the level
