Insane art. But the gameplay...

Developer

Yeah...

That intro is awesome! The game has a few bugs. but overall great job, keep it up!

Developer

Thanks!

I loveee that sharp vector art. That cutscene got me sooo pumped, so I was setup to be a little disappointed with the gameplay :( You really needed a teammate man, its got alot of potential!

Developer

I did have a teammate, he made the art! But I (programmer) also focused too much on making the visuals work and not enough on making good gameplay and levels! Oh well... Lesson learned for my next jams tho!

Oh :') Honestly, I have no idea how i managed to finish mine because I was, just like you, so focused on the visuals. I spent a full day and a half on the procedural generation adding bushes and shrubs and I didn't have enemies working at the time  So yeah, we should focus on prototyping core features first next time xD

Really good cutscene and graphics . We need sound design but this is a good game !

Developer

Thanks! Also about the sound... Some typing mishap with the playerprefs names is making everything be constantly at volume level 0! :^(

The intro was great... but after that its just a bland platformer without sounds, polish or interesting mechanics.. except the environment destruction, that one is cool.

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah... That's fair. I (the programmer) ended up focusing way too much on the visuals, so everything else just kind of fell apart. We had some very cool things planned that I couldn't put in the game because I was busy focusing on making the background parallax just right. We will get back to this game tho, and fix all those things!

Submitted

Very cool graphics and cutscene! However the platforming was a bit buggy. Good job tho!

I'd love it if you check the game i made with my friend :)

Developer

Thanks! This was kind of a race against the clock, so I didn't manage to get back and fix a lot of the totally fixable bugs I know were there. I won't make the same mistake on my next jams!

When you blow your entire budget on the opening sequence LOL. That was wild. Amazing art.

Developer

Yeah that's fair. We kinda made the visuals work just right and pushed everything else to the end of the jam, which we shouldn't have done.

What an amazing intro! Very well done, the game had a few bugs, but still it was playable and fun. Great Job

Developer

Thanks!

Really good looking game, but really there's a lot of bugs, you should make a physics material 2d with no friction and attach it to player rigibody

Developer(+1)

I did! But then the walls were too slide-y so I made the gravity weaker when you're touching a wall, but too much so it feels like everything is glazed in honey
