super fun game!! :D it was really cool that you had 3 different weapons, and i love all the little animations. well done!
Well, did you know there are 4 weapon types? just play again when you are done. Also thanks, I put a lot of emphasis on making good animations and making the game feel good.
fun and simple game! some enemy hit and death effects wouldve made killing the enemies a lot more satisfying though!
If I had had time, I would have added sounds, but I barely finished in general.
The gameplay was really fun! The sword swing was very satisfying to use. I didn't mind the flickering of the enemies, sometimes other stuff has priority haha.
It would've been cool to see THE monke walk towards us when finish the waves before the ending scene. Good job!
I was planning something like that, but I only had, like, 3 hours left to add an ending and a main menu and a game over screen (and fix some bugs), so I had to compromise.
Totally understand, I was also in a similar situation nearing the ending time.
I loved the art. It looks a bit irritating when the enemies are directly above or below and they flicker
Yeah, I didn't have time to fix that, but it was on the "not important but top of the list" for if I had enough time :\
Nice job! I wish there was audio, but I really really loved the art and animation. the ending animation of finding connor was great! I liked the sword and gun the most vine took too long to use often. Great job!
Thank you and yeah, the vine one is good for when enemies are on a nice arch, which is almost never if you're doing well enough and you can just use the sword anyways.
The sword ability was pretty cool, felt satisfying
I'm glad to hear it :)
Very cute game, love the designs a lot! Insane that you made it all in a day!
Thanks, I'm honestly exhausted.
I love the character illustrations, and spamming the space bar felt really fun (until I died because skill issue). For a game made in only one day, this isn't bad at all.
Thank you! I worked hard and fast (I almost didn't make it)
Generic concept but has good core mechanics. You have different types of weapon, multiple level and different type of enemies. If the enemies stats could ramp up along with the level progression it would be even better. Gun's damage is too high and you can just spam it with stutter step, sword is quite balance with moderate damage and short range, whip has high damage and wide range but the arching makes it more balance. Good job
Thanks, I didn't find the gun to be that good, but if it worked well for you, great!
I was absolutely enjoying this! I admit, I got scared and immediately started spamming the banana bullets everywhere LMAO Once the ants came, I was like "oh wow they die in one hit" AND THEN I REALIZED WHY WHEN THEY STARTED THROWING STUFF AT ME
That was a fun game!!
Yeah, they are really broken, but it's the final wave, so I think it's fine (I also didn't have time to balance anything at all, just barely finished)
Having a weapon to shoot and a giant sword held by the tail is actually a really nice idea :D
Thank you, I thought it was a fun idea and just went with it (I probably saw it somewhere, but I wanted to make it into a game)
