I liked the start, and how it went straight into the game. That first scene was nice too, I'd like to see more of what you could do with storytelling. For the controls, there were a few times where I was expected to do something, but I didn't realize at first, like moving down onto the level or pressing space to vacuum. I don't know if the guys walking around were supposed to be enemies, but if so I never really had to worry about them. I think the core game loop could use some more iteration, such as adding more obstacles to finding cows, etc. Overall what I'd recommend is just general polish and explaining controls.

I know a lot of things here are purely because of the time limit, and I'd like to see what this'll become once its finished :]

Good effort on the game, I do enjoy the idea of a game where you control a UFO to abduct cows and do other alien things, maybe something to develop and work on in the future! Would have been good to have some SFX, and some barriers around the edge so the player doesn't fly off forever and get lost. Well done though!

There's alot if stuff missing(music sounds and a proper ending) But you said this was your first.
And for a first, finishing is damn impressive!^^(Took 3 gamejams to finish smt for me)

Not perfect, but i really like what you did with the assets and i think the cow abduction concept is to be expanded!
