Like the core gameplay loop, I'd probably have given the rings a more danger-screaming shader (like flames, for example). Also love the use of the HDR map (not sure if true HDR?) and the little 3D menu you made. :D

Somehow this game really stands out artistically.

Nice take on flap bird, very difficulty as well, as all flap birds should be.

This is the second godot game I played, it's very cool seeing the engine being use on game jams.

And judging by the .tar file and not .zip I would guess you are a Linux user :).

I see you are using Godot engine as well lol, I really like the design of Godot engine, and it is free and open source, hopefully in the future it will gain enough popularity that I can use it in workplace rather than using Unity because "it is popular and it has more support" X_X

Refuses to open on my laptop, I don't know why.

Is it the Windows version or Linux, does it popup error or it won't acturally show anything at all?

Submitted

Windows, the window pops up but then nothing happens, just a black screen.

I'm sorry I cannot replicate the bug, I made a HTML5 build but during the voting it won't allow me to upload, it looks slightly darker than the desktop version it can be downloaded from here: https://gitlab.com/yxt0531/project-3d-bird/blob/html5/exports/fluffy_bird_v1.1_h...

Edit: Not sure why, but running it with the integrated gpu instead of the high performance NVidia one fixed it. Would have liked more sound effects and a little polish here and there, but good job!

As you say "still as frustrating as you remembered" i like the "recreation" of Flappy Bird in a 3D game, Good Job =D

Glad you like it, I was not sure how  "frustrating" it needs to be for a flappy bird game, but seems like it is frustrating  enough XD
