Nice idea and implementation! Graphics is nice too! I got some flashbacks about Donkey Cong Country :)
cool idea, nice game :)
A good-looking game with a nice concept!
If you'd devolop it further in the future, I'd suggest some sort of score, that lets you know if you did better than in your last try and maybe also some sort of mechanic that forces you to move the shovels and not putting them in one position where they best destroy all rocks without having to greatly move it anymore. But for the small amount of time the jam offers, well done!
Cool idea with cool sound design and graphics. The controls felt a bit clunky at the start, it was better after a bit of time playing.
It was very difficult for me to implement the control of shovels. Therefore, due to limited time, I made such an option as it is now. By the way, it would be well suited for gamepads or joysticks on the phone, I think.
good game. good visual and audio. i think there are needs a background music. also i just turned the shovels to some position and they destroy almost all of rocks)
Yes, it was all in the plans, there just wasn't enough time. I encountered serious bugs during development, which took too much time, so I did not manage to implement everything.
I like the cart behaviour and the camera movement but it lacks some kind of counter (distance, time...)
Thank you. As for the progress counter - I did not have time.
A couple of obscure bugs took me a lot of time, so I was in a hurry to do the basic things. I just didn’t have time to get my hands on the distance counter, I even forgot about it, although you can do it in five minutes
Pretty cool little game here. Once I adjusted to using both shovels it was fun. Some visual/audio feedback when you broke a rock or when one hit you would have gone a long way. As others have said, showing your distance travelled at the end would have also been a cool feature. Overall great job on this one!
Thank you. The counter simply did not have time to add, finished many things an hour before the deadline. I thought that, for example, the sound of taking damage is more important than it.
It was a nice game. The background was nice and the way you got the cart working along the tracks was very cool. I did notice the more you reset the game the further the miners heads separated from their bodies which I thought was interesting. It would be nice if we also recorded how far we got, or how long we survived for.
Good job!
Yes, a bug with a head appeared at the last moment, fixed it as best I could, but completely did not have time. Unfortunately, I did not have time to make a progress counter.
Simple gameplay and at the same time it fun. Great work!
Interesting game. Nice graphics. As I understand it, the numbers are the hits you can get. Perhaps counting the distance of how far you can go would give me more intensive to play multiple times, just to see how far I can go.
Very nice execution on the theme! I like that it saved my shovel configuration between runs so you can try to perfect your placement of them.
It's always interesting how others find interesting mechanics where you didn't expect) An interesting strategy is to try to go as far as possible without moving shovels, really.
Great game! Had fun playing it. Good job
great game, there are some minor flaws, but everything is cool. Good luck with your next projects!
You can see my another project, Lyaguska. He is also fun)
Definitely, but tomorrow. By the way, I also have the game "Arnold the test subject?" If you want to evaluate, I'm interested to know your opinion)
I'll check tomorrow too. It's almost morning for me
Neat game! I really like the concept you used in this game, definitely cool gameplay.
I liked it too. The funny thing is that I came to him by chance a couple of hours before the end of the jam) I changed the original idea and it turned out well.
Cool game, I actually really got enamoured with the lovely parallax background! Nice and atmospheric!
Thanks. You can try my another game Lyaguska, he contains parallax too)
Hello! I played shovel brothers and had a blast, it plays like an arcade game needing no introduction. I think the input system is a little janky but it makes it easier to correct the rotation when the shovels are down, maybe next time add a limit to the rotation so the shovels don't just clip through the ground but overall it did feature Togetherness, shovels, and have some pretty cool art and sound so I liked it. I created Grave Keeper with PremedLynx so ill have him rate your game since I can't. UPDATE: fixed the problem and I can rate now!
It was great. Really fun game but controlling shovels was a bit hard. It would be easier with 2 keys for one shovel, left and right.
Thanks. I spent half a day getting these shovels to spin. I understand that it can be done better, but I just couldn't do better in such a short time. It was necessary to go further.
Great game, even down to the little details like the suspension on the cart (nice touch).
Thanks. I spent 8 hours on setting up this suspension. I did not immediately understand what the suspension parameters are responsible for and why my wheels start spinning all over the screen)
