Spirtes were really cool and I loved the idea of having different 'golf clubs' to smack the ball around. I did find actually hitting the ball was a little fiddly but once I got it, it was good.
Nice job for your first game!
Pretty fun :D
Sprites looks great, very well done! It took me a while to get the controls and hit the ball correctly, but after i got it i found it quite relaxing.
Great visuals and sound! Cool idea how each family member has their own unique mechanic.
The graphics and music are nice, it's a little unpleasant to play. There are too many actions to hit, I would like to just hold down the button, choosing the force of impact and direction. Then squeeze and hit the ball.
I 100% agree with you, i wanted a "everybody's golf" system, but selecting angle, selecting shovel and starting the shoot bar should be made with one hit on space^^
I like arcade golf games, and this one might be not so bad.
But it lacks a feeling of control over the ball, and I didn't get the purpose of the bar at the bottom. The shots looked just random.
Yep there's no information about that.
- White zone = perfect shot
- Red zone = slight variation to the angle and power
- Totally misses = between 0.6x and 0.8x of your selected power and random angle
Interesting game. I like the graphics, but sometimes it is hard to tell what is an obstacle, as rocks, bushes and trees have the same colors.
I definitely agree, there's not enough contrast between foreground and background tiles, especially on level2
I really like the concept. The meter for power and accuracy was quite difficult to see at times. The game was probably harder than it needed to be, but overall I liked it.
took me 61 shots, very frustrating that the shovels don't replenish and the power meter is kinda funky.
That's the point :D, we aimed at a little replayability, so you can use the right shovel at the right time
edit: I did a little fix on the shoot bar
