Amazing soundtrack, and gameplay feels really good. I'd love to see a longer game with save states, and also some way to regain lives maybe (At least if there's no savestates) Story and graphics were charming as well. Well done!
Thanks for the kind feedback. my partner outdone himself in the music department :smirk:
But yeah if we're to continue developing the game, the save would be the 100% first feature to add, as it was cut out due to time constraint in the first place
Oh boy, if I love that art style! I was presented with this beautiful Windows98 1-bit desktop and I was amazed! The art is really really dope, also the music is stunning. I really love how it changes after the phone call. Congrats for the job well done.
(Could I ask you for a more specific credits? I really want to know who made the art and music <3)
I have to say that, while i love doing 1 bit pixel art, i didnt expect so many people to love it ! specially in this rushed, first attempt, and late start game jam ! it really made my day <3.
And i am sure Wisead is having the same experience with his music.
Thanks you so much for the kind words !
As for the credit: Wisead composed the music and sound effects, and i drew the pixel art.
I love the aesthetic of this! The 1-bit colors really worked, and so did the computer monitor setting. Wish there was a checkpoint after you get the phone call, but neat overall experience!
Yeah that checkPoint is the most asked-for feature, unfortunately we barley managed to submit in time, 30min late to be exact :smirk: so we had to cut some corners.
Thanks a lot for the kind feedback ^^
Fun scenario and it's simple but neat game. I really like the aesthetic as well. Good job!

Thanks for the feedback ;)
I think making a game about a game is a bit non-conventional, but according to the people kind enough to try it, it turned out interesting. And we are so happy for that.
As Radlas said, excellent aesthetic and game premise. They give the game a lot of potential and the end left me wanting a bigger game with more "updates". Thank you for making this game :)
Thank you so much ! it means a lot.
We definitely enjoyed this one. And who knows, it might evolve into something more that just a game jam submission ;)
No its won't :P hahahahahahahahahah ... jk... ... ... ... ... unless ?
Or it can be used as inspiration for another game :)
hahaha dont jinx it Wisead XD
Yeah at very least it will inspire more ideas.
I love the aesthetics and game premise, good job! The colliders felt too big for the sprites though, lots of floating on platform edges and bullets that hit walls they didn't touch. You could use a capsule or custom collider for the character and circular ones for the bullets but, overall, tweaking the colliders would make the game play a lot more crisp.
Yess we for sure messed up the colliders, they feel unfair.
Thank you for playing though! I
Nicely done. Player control is nice, and i love the music.
Thank you for playing ^^
nice game! I think some enemies might be a little too hard
They definetly are!! Thanks for playing tho
Good stuff! I think playtesting somebody else's game is a really nice framing device, and I'd love to see how much further you could push that notion of reality breaking down with a bit more time. I am admittedly very bad at platformers, but after a couple deaths the lack of checkpoints/repeating cutscene does start to feel a little grating - still though, more retries mean more chances to enjoy that lovely retro aesthetic!
Yeahh the checkpoints were planned but scrapped because of a lack of time, and we were also planning on adding more visual effects to emphasize the theme of reality breaking in real time but we just couldn't fit that in the time frame available sadly
Thank you very much for playing and for leaving such a detailed comment we really appreciate it!!!
I don't understand the relation with the theme, but it's retro and nice...I like it!
Glad you like it!
Thank you.
i guess the narrative should be more clearer. the story is that you get an early build for a game to try out from your friend, the game is called Reality. but upon interacting with it, you get a phone call from your friend, telling you that his game Reality is breaking , and you cant get out of it (Think a FullDive game like SAO) the only way to get out is to go back to the start room, only this time with strange creatures and monsters appearing out of nowhere.
Not bad
Thanks!
Thanks you
