The art and the game is very well presented. Maybe you could set the character looking to the user? Also it could be nice to start playing with indications, as a guided tutorial.

Thank you for your feedback!

What a lovely submission! It saddens me that this didn't get as much attention as it deserves. Amazing work!

Developer

Thank you so much! That's really nice of you!

Oh no the purble place flashbacks

The games honestly really good. The sound effects, art and music all compliment the game really nicely and the two main mechanics are simple but fun to use.

Developer

Yass the purble place nostalgia. Thank you for your feedback!

Ummm... underrated?  Y'all need to submit this type of game to Microsoft because this seems on par with purple place as a new kid's game on Windows.

Thank you!

This was a great game with a really good use of the limitation. The music was great and loops really well. The cakes looked cool and unique also. Great Job good luck

Developer

Thank you! Good luck as well!

I love the art style and the music was a great fit too. This is really well polished for a jam game. The only nitpick I have there is that the explanation on how to play is a wall of text, but I don't think it's a big deal. An interactive tutorial would be amazing, but who has time for that, right?

Maybe I'm just not great at this type of game, but I didn't find myself reversing the conveyor belt very often and when I did try, I died almost immediately after. Maybe you could code it in such a way that some good opportunities to reverse the conveyor belt pop up early on when the cakes are still moving quite slowly and are further apart. I also think it might be an issue that you can't see what's coming from the right, it makes you feel like the right cake might be right around the corner and hesitant to reverse when the cakes are coming from the right. If I knew the cake wasn't coming any time soon, I'd be much more likely to use the space bar.

Thank you! Very nice feedback! And yes we are considering to add more features to the game like the ones you have pointed out since it’s very much needed, thanks for letting us know that you want that kind of feature as well! It’s also a great tip to players to not reverse the belt too much or else you’ll risk not getting the new cakes! I have scored 117 in the game and not once did I reverse the belt ;)

Interesting idea !

Developer

Thank you!

This was pretty good! The gameplay is very straightforward, and as the difficulty cranks up it becomes a true challenge to grab the right cake. Artwork and music are very fitting. Nicely done!
