Fun game, thank you for the effects that gave me all the dopamine that I needed today!

Nice game!

I liked the explosion particle effects and the backing track fits in well :) It's especially satisfying to shoot the fish and gain the bullet hiding behind it XD

One thing which would improve the game is the background. it doesn't loop exactly so the parallax effect looks kinda weird.

Other than that, good job!

Thanks for the feedback.

Cool! I Liked the UFO lights and the Xplosion. For my personal taste, the gameplay is a bit slow, but it has a kind enjoyable personality.

Thanks for playing

Really nice idea, had fun playing the game, but you might want to reduce the size of the colliders a bit

Developer

Thanks for the comment. I fix that later.

Love the game idea, since we took similar approaches :), But i would suggest smaller colliders so that it you can do more tight and precise manoeuvres.  Other than that, I think that The animation and the sound design was well made and smooth! I also enjoyed the fact that you can't just spam the shoot button, since it adds to the gameplay. Great job!

Good effort for the first Jam. However, there is a hitbox issue you have in your game. I was going on a very clear straight then the game over screen showed up.

Developer(+1)

Yea.. there some bug. I will fix that

I feel like everything was 5x slower than it should have been, and i wish the fishes/rockets were animated. If those two issues were to be fixed the game would have been a lot more enjoyable. Despite all that i can 100% see what you were visioning when making the game and i can imagine your next jam will be a great one, i can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Thanks

Nice game overall. As some people said, hitboxes are quite large sometimes for the sprites, but still is an interesting concept and the gameplay itself is very good, and simple to understand.

Controls feel really nice and overall it's a nice idea!
Just a few tips:
- Be a bit more forgiving with the hitboxes, they're a bit too big and the player might hit a spot where the sprite doesn't reach;
- Make the enemies stand out, a black outline on a black background can confuse players and make them think that the enemies are smaller than they are;
-Spawn more bullets and reward the player for shooting down enemies by giving them more bullets, also make the player start with some bullets, because this way the player feels like they should save their ammo and not use it;
These are just a few suggestions :)

P.S. the explosion effect looks really good!

Thanks for the tips.❤️

It is quite tense to avoid the fish robots because the hit decisions are so large for both sides. The effects and sound effects when you destroy a fish robot are satisfying.

It's probably a bug, but if you pick up a bullet and the game is over, you can restart the game with the number of bullets inherited.

Nice work!
