I loved the concept and the art style. I see a lot of potential for fun gameplay here! For example it might be cool if you could catch a pop fly to get the batter out without running in.

Ooh this one is a really great idea! Thanks for the praise :D

Interesting game idea, I think with some polish this could be pretty cool.  I think the 3D models look pretty dang good and the animations look sweet too. Could use some audio like music, and sound effects when someone hits a ball.  Mouse sensitivity is a little too high I'm constantly readjusting my direction.  Player point of view is a little high, I feel like I'm towering over people (is this what its like to be 6 ft tall?)

Possible Bugs?

  1. the batters don't run straight to the next base, they seem to walk in a rounding could be intentional, idk.
  2. I think the batters stopped spawning after all the different colored balls are returned.

yeah we didn't really get to the part where there is an ending to the game it just kinda... stops spawning. the size thing is very true- I made the joke that it is like you are a lone adult playing against an entire team of toddlers, so it feels a little mean lol. Great feedback ty! Oh and the rounding is sort of intentional- it happened when we turned up their speed and we kinda liked it.

It looks very interesting, but there should be some tutorial how to play it because I just run around and collect balls :)

Developer

Yes, we ran into that problem with a friend of ours who tested, he did not know baseball. In fact, our programmer didn't know baseball which is even funnier. We got him a diagram to explain it :3 Ideally I think we would do a short tutorial phase before you start play for real.

If you're interested, the way it's supposed to work is you have to bring the right color ball to the right color batter before he reaches one of those four little white plates he is rounding. You can miss him, so you have to go to a plate in front of him- thats when he will get outed and disappear (which is a little anticlimactic). He needs a little sad animation for when he loses, I think :)

Ooh, it's possible it could be functioning better- we should leave a note about this. If you left click on the game after starting it, the mouse should disappear and things will work better. Thanks so much for playing, we appreciate the feedback and compliments :)

A great effort for a 3 day project! Things get pretty frantic, but I managed to stop the team from scoring.

A few criticism: it took me a while to understand that low score == good, maybe it could have said; opponent score:, or have a score counter for yourself for every time you 'out' a runner. Also, when you 'win', there's not message that you won, so that's a bit of an anticlimax :P

Thanks for the input! The clarity about low score == good is definitely valid, yeah. Unfortunately, due to our team's constraints with time, we never ended up adding a "win condition" :( There were definitely more that we wanted to do on the list that we never were able to get around to.
