Really surprised how much you managed to get working in the game. The planning of the heist is  brilliant. I really like that you can see the progress of the other characters when you have more than one.

Played the game on the stream, if you wanted to see some gameplay:

Thank you very much for the VOD, it's always important to see how others approach the game, and you shown me how much I have to work on responsivness and clarity of controls.
And also thanks for pointing out grammar and showing me, that fullscreen might be important for others.

This was actually more or less exactly our first idea for this jam. I'm glad we switched because we wouldn't have made it nearly as great as you managed to do it! I love the game, the careful planning and the laid-back sounds fit me perfectly. If I would have anything *bad* to say about it, it'd be that it would be nice to be able to speed things up a bit, when you want to redo a plan and have to "sit through all those 45 seconds again" it becomes a bit frustrating (weird how a few seconds can do that in a game, haha) - but then again, the 60-second timer would not make sense at all.

This is one of those I'll get back to, when I've looked through some more of the games here. :D

Developer

It's incredibly heartwarming to read your words, and it's really important for me, that you liked sounds, even though I didn't manage to add all sound effects I wanted, with more dynamic music.
I also thought that those 60 seconds are pretty slow, but theme is theme ;3 But when I think now about it, i should have added speed up button, and also ability to remove whole plan of one character without pressing Z 60 times.

Thank you very much for playing, and for your comment ^-^

A lot of people submitted games with the idea of "get in and steal gold" and of all of them this is one of my favorites. It is a bit confusing at first, but it definitely has the potential to be an amazing little indie game. :)

Developer(+1)

Saying that it's a bit confusing at first is a pretty big understatement ;3 Thanks for nice comment, I'm glad you liked it

Looks like a good idea, I liked the presentation, although it seems a little bit hard to actually learn how to play.

Developer

Yeah, I should incoroprate more showing, and less telling when it comes to tutorials. Thanks for playing!

Great game overall, had a lot of fun strategizing :D

Thank you very much :3

Doesn't work for me. Although it looks pretty good from the comments I've read

Developer

Yeah, I guess the problem is in the UI scaling, I'm sorry for that. You could always try to stay in windowed mode, but I don't have any way to test that.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work for me :/ this is what I see after pressing “H” on the start screen: The start screen looked perfectly fine though. Tried it in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. Maybe related to OS UI scale? I have a 4k screen.

Developer

Quite possibly yes, I'm not the best at creating scalable UI it seems, and it definitely won't work in fullscreen, so I'm sorry for that. At least i know what I have to work on in future jams.
You could always try after pressing H in main screen, pressing A, and then H, but I guess UI still will be messed up.
Thanks for pointing that out :3

Yep, that’s how I got into the game screen. I was able to plan a little bit (this part looked really promising!), but I think I didn’t see everything since I wasn’t able to start the heist ^^ I like the art style though, reminded me on undertale. If you use unity, make sure to use the UI anchors properly. It’s a complicated hassle but when you understand it it’s quite powerful (not as good as godot’s UI system though IMHO :D). https://learn.unity.com/tutorial/working-with-ui-in-unity#5fa0d66bedbc2a2cbcdc0d8c this one seems to explain anchors quite good, in case you’re interested (I just skipped over it quickly).

Developer

Yeah, I used anchors for first few panels, and then time passed, and everything went downhill. Thanks for the link I will try to incorporate that knowledge in the future ^-^
And to start or stop the heist you have to hold H, and after walking into objects you can pick action using 1 or 2.

I like the idea!

very creative idea

Creative, well designed and implemented game. Maybe to easy to speedrun, because you can win without entering the building once.

Developer

That's right, and that's the point, the main goal is to gather as much gold as possible, and make the best use of given 60 seconds, not necessarily going through missions as fast as possible, but of course, speedrunning can also be a goal ;3 Thanks for playnig, and a nice comment!

The game looks very good, however, for some reason, I wasn't able to start the heist or move the character. Maybe I didn't get anything, but overall it looks very good, and it has the right mood!

Developer

To move characters around place cursor over them, press spacebar, and then you can draw commands for them. Then you have to press escape to control the cursor again, and hold the H for around 1 second to execute commands. During that time you can't give any new orders, but you can hold H again to go back to giving orders.
Instructions on the right panel should be helpful to keep with the game flow.
Thanks for comment and trying it out, and I hope now you will be able to play!
