Hi everybody!

Just finished creating a mini realm designed to be a prequel to RUNE realms. This realm offers players the opportunity to delve into one version of what might have happened before Engraved was Engraved.

You awaken in a desolate prison cell, your body marked with enigmatic runes. Your quest? To piece together fragmented memories and uncover the secrets behind your enigmatic existence.

There two ways to play it:

  • table top version (PDF)
  • video game (separate executable)

You can find it here: https://vskyi.itch.io/echoes-of-the-past

Please, let me know what you think!

Hey everyone!

Recently I asked myself what it would feel like playing a RUNE realm if it was a video game.

I created a prototype to test just that: https://vskyi.itch.io/digital-rune

Based on City of the Red Crown by Aaron Jolliffe.

Let me know what you think!

Visuals are on point! Was hard to follow what I am supposed to do :D

NPCs seem to run some default animation all the time.

Liked the presentation!

Was a little bit hard to use captured bullets to hit enemies.

But I liked the idea! And the presentation was nice.

Was a little bit too overwhelming to my taste, but looks like a neat idea!

Liked the combat, and the presentation! Although my mouse sensitivity was through the roof, was a little bit hard to move camera around

Didn't quite get what those numbers on the screen mean, but I liked the transitions and the presentation overall!

Enjoyed the game! Well done!

I liked the presentation! Sounds and visual feedback were on point.

Feels like collisions are too loose to sell the fantasy of old man digging haha. Maybe add some obstacles on the way so that it feels more engaging?

Good job! Feels like game would be more engaging if there was some feedback when (and why) you fail and when you succeed.

Liked the presentation! Good job!

Looks like score keeps getting bigger when you die.

Like the art style! Feels like game would be more engaging if there were power ups, or different weapon to use.

It would be nice to have more things to do, but overall looks good!

Feels a little bit short, but I liked the presentation!

(1 edit)

Feels like Carty is there just to look good haha. It would be nice if Carty's speed was based on how fast player types.

Looks like an interesting concept, but game would benefit a lot from a little bit of polish: sounds, surrounding assets.

I liked the idea, very soothing game.

Fps drops to single digits, but I liked the craziness!

I liked the presentation. Game would benefit from showing something to the player when timer hits 0. Otherwise it's not obvious why everything resets.

Music sounds a little bit repetative, would be nice to see some reaction from the game when you fail. I liked the concept!

Gameplay is a little bit slow paced and I have no idea how to defend against turrets -- they hit you no matter what. I liked the presentation though!

Liked the idea, if only I could change heroes faster!

Level feels a little bit empty and camera shakes too much, but I liked the idea!

I like the presentation!

Looks like a good idea, I liked the presentation, although it seems a little bit hard to actually learn how to play.

Game said that I'm a waste of material although it's not like you can do anything but gether gold :D Cool animations though

Presentation is top notch, well done!
