the game is a bit long, the difficulty if and grows slowly, but the rest is not badly done.
Your feedback is heard on the pacing. I’m planning to address that in the upcoming, post jam version of the game. Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback!
It's great can be considered a complete game.
Maybe the room it's a little too big for the limited mechanics, would work better if be a duraration of 1-3 min in my experience after that time it becone a little repetitive, that assuming a level that don't add any aditional mechanics, like i don't know a canon that shot you to the sides or the center making less time consuming collect the fartest cristals
Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback! I had a few other mechanics planned that I ended up cutting for the jam version of the game, but I hear ya on the repetitiveness of it in its current form. Hopefully that’ll be addressed after in the post jam version!
The art and gameplay looks and feels very polished for being made in only 3 days!
Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback! I’ve done a few of these jams now and I’m getting to the point where I’m spending about half of the time on the art and gameplay ideas and the other half on the coding. I’ve got a few patterns (menu handling, signaling, audio, etc) that have worked well for me when structuring my games, so I tend to repeat those from game to game which is a big speed boost.
Very fun! I really appreciate how you made different control schemes to accommodate for different playstyles. Probably the first Game Jam game I got to use a controller. The game feels very responsive which results in being fun to play. Great Job!
I love when folks offer support for game pads—it really makes a difference! I try to include touch controls too but I didn’t have time for the jam version to get those in this time.
Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback!
Really fun! It's very polished for 72 hours
Thanks! I’ve been trying to focus about half of my time on art and the remaining time on coding and other tasks. I’m finding it gets easier and quicker for me with each jam I participate in. For this game, I think I spent around 36 hours on it before deciding it was time to stop.
Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback!
Very Fun to play! Although it felt a little bit repetitive, it was a nice experience :D
I can’t wait to release the post-jam update that addresses the pacing here. Thanks for playing and leaving your feedback!
Very fun, and the art and animation is beautiful!
Thank you! The art and animation has been my favorite part about this journey so far!
Visuals are so fun! I love the way the UFO's eyes move :)) Feels so good to play
Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback!
Absolutely beautiful game!! Really enjoyed this one. Up there for one of my favorite. I do not have anything to even remotely criticize besides the fact that I want more content. Fantastic job!
Thanks for playing and sharing such kind words about your experience!
Really fun game, it felt super juicy and interactive when playing I got down to my last life and had to be super careful to dodge everything coming at me, managed to escape the planet in 4:56 haha
You made it though! I definitely learned an important lesson on this one regarding pacing. Hopefully the post jam version will keep ya playing for a bit longer, but with snappier pacing and a few new levels/mechanics! Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback.
So much fun! And great-looking too, felt very GBC/NES
Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback! The NES and GB hold a special place in my heart, and I’ve really enjoyed bringing my own ideas into this style.
Very cool game, good exploration of limitations. In particular, I liked the art style.
Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback!
Amazing, incredibly polished, the art is impeccable.
Thank you! I didn’t quite know what I’d find when I started on this pixel art journey six months ago, but it’s turning out to be a real joy. Thanks for playing and leaving your feedback!
Cool little game, very polished.
Right out of the gate, I like how easy it was to figure out what to do. Not only was it easy to get started, the entire experience was very clear, everything that needed to give feedback did, and I was never confused about what was happening.
I think perhaps it takes a little too long to fill the main ship, that would be my one piece of feedback. There is not enough content for it to be so slow to fill. However I really did appreciate that as time went on, more and more enemies would be actively spawned. The increasing number of enemies added a nice challenge that kept things interesting.
Thank you for sharing the game, it was fun.
Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback! I agree that it’s too slow, and I’m planning to address the pacing issue in the post jam version that I’ve already got in progress!
Brilliant spritework, solid gameplay loop, and surprisingly polished for a 72 hour jam. Good job!
Thank you! I’ve found that I really gravitate towards smaller, more polished experiences for my games but I’m wondering if that’s keeping me away from taking big risks on this journey too XD
lovely atmosphere and sound!!
Thanks for playing!
super beautiful game! the feel is very good I really liked the game loop AWESOME GAME
Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback!
Wow, what a beautiful game ! The animations, feedbacks, sound effects and all ! It's very, very polished
My only flaw is that DAMN the game take a LONG time to finish ! It took me 5:42 to get to the ending (which was lovely) and i would say the game doesn't need to be this long... Tho the difficulty increasing so slowly, the game only gets kinda challenging at about 3 mins in !
But still of course, it's an amazing entry and a huge congrats for releasing it !
Thaaanks! The art and animation has easily turned into my favorite part of making games. Your feedback about length is heard! I’m already planning to split up the game into 3 levels for the post jam version and getting the other mechanics in!
Heck yeah! The style and tone of the game is super cool and that combined with the music definitely hits me right in the nostalgia. Everything is really cohesive, the music and art really compliment eachother well.
While I agree the gameplay gets a little repetitive I think that could potentially be remedied by tinkering with different mining / fuel rates. The concept is awesome and what you have here is a really cool foundation that you could certainly continue to build on with more planets, creatures and things to mine.
All in all, awesome job! 🙂
Thanks for playing and sharing some kind words!
Totally agree that the gameplay is a bit repetitive; all the settings for adjusting these rates is already in the game BUT I didn’t have time to get another level or mechanic in. So I did the bad thing and stretched it out instead of keeping it tight.
The post jam release that addresses this is already in progress 🙌
This is great! I loved the art style, and the movement was smooth. I could really feel where I was going, and collecting and depositing while avoiding the enemies was pure adrenaline for me
Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback! It took a bit longer than I’d expected to get the player movement dialed in, but it sounds like it did the job.
