Use of the limitation
Player is allowed to "toggle cheats" in the platformer level and fly around. They must not get caught doing so by "him," though (judgement)!

Nice use of the limitation :) Is it possible to complete the game without chaning forms? Because I feel like at some point I "have to" cheat, and then I get caught by "him" and I have to play the whole game again.
Thank you! Unfortunately, it is not possible to complete the game without using the cheats, though I do strongly believe that it should be. If only we had a little more time we would have loved to pivot the level design in that direction. Just something learned for next time; thank you for your feedback!
I love the style of this game, it reminds me of Celeste! The game controls well and is a lot of fun to play. Escaping "him" always got my heart pounding! I just think that there should be more checkpoints. Also, after getting caught by "him" on should not restart the entire level. I think it is a bit harsh because the game is already difficult. Great job!
That’s great to hear! Celeste was actually the primary source of inspiration for the game’s aesthetics; AxeHam did a great job with that. Also, we definitely overdid it with the game’s difficulty level haha. In hindsight, the level definitely should have been slightly easier and there should have been less of a reliance on the cheating mechanic for obstacle completion (rather instead being for optional assistance and speedrunning). We will keep this in mind with future games; thank you for the feedback!
Love the graphics! The game is pretty difficult and getting caught while in the cheats form makes you restart the whole game, which may be a little too punishing, but I really enjoyed my time with this one overall! Keep it up :)
Thank you! AxeHam did a wonderful job on the game’s aesthetics! And yeah, the game definitely should have been easier haha. I personally believe that the instant restart when being caught with cheats could have worked, but the level design definitely should not have required it to be used with such a harsh punishment in place. Was fun, although the infinite double jump makes it even easier than the cheats 😅
Update: Seems like this was a bug after I died in a specific way, way harder without the additional jumps.
Ahhh, you hate to see it. The double jump is definitely not intended haha. We had issues with our player controller (specifically ground and wall/cover detection) during development; I would have loved to give it more care and attention if only we had more time. Next time we will make sure not to neglect the controller as much; thank you for your feedback!
Really cool (but hard) game. We didn't manage to get the top of the tower. But the whole concept around the floating light is really "in the mood"!

Really cool concept with great interpretation of limitation, but platforming feels a little like controlling an anvil. Hope to see some "Post-Jam" version :>
Thank you! We had tried to keep the player controller slower to account for the enclosed horizontal space, but that definitely resulted in it feeling finicky and heavy. In general, we could have done much better with it; we will make sure to not neglect it as much with our next game. Thank you for your feedback!
Fun little platformer! Having to spam space to skip the dialogue every time I died was a bit rough though. Good work overall!
