tried the game and was like this is stupid hard then read to max the screen that did help a lot since the enemies didn't just have to take 2 steps and get off screen any more. Pretty hard game still didn't make it past the 4th or 5th wave of guys to many spawned at the top and was trying to deal with them well 1 2 kept spawning near the bottom and getting away from me.

Nice game. I like mechanics of fight. Graphics and animation effect is very good. Music fit to games very well. For the first try, I don't know what to do. Maybe some tutorial with information "Click to attack" or something. Good job :)

I know the game is a bit confusing at the start, but I had no time to add a tutorial (I started 1 day late), if I ever update it I will take that in mind to make a simple tutorial.

Amazing visuals! I'm obsessed with the whip animation; it is so well done! It reads well, it's responsive, and it's satisfying. My only visual feedback is that it felt a bit dark? Which feels like a dumb thing to say because it's night time but for some reason I felt like the darkness was a bit difficult on my eyes! 

I also realized afterwards that I never used the shop. I think because it's a time rush, I didn't think to check. It's a shame because the shop seems like a cool addition to the game!

Overall though I thought this game was great. I think you got so many of the little details just right– polished is definitely the appropriate word!

If I ever update this I would probably add a brightness setting and sloooow down the time (not fully) when using the shop. Will take this post on mind, ty!

Fun game, though the limitation is a bit of a stretch.

Here's what I really enjoyed: The combat felt great, loved the large powerful whip attack, the music provided a great sense of urgency to try and harvest enough souls/enemies before night ended, really pushed me to 'hurry.' Felt pretty polished!

Really fun game! I loved the art style and once I read through your itch.io page I understood how to attack and had a blast fighting through the night and upgrading my little character. I do wonder how exactly the limitation fits this game, though.

Thanks for the feedback, I know the game is a bit confusing but I had no time to implement a tutorial for the game.

The limitation of "The only way to go is up" refers to the heart count during playtime (they can only go up), because you cannot get hurt by enemies. (The concept breaks a bit if you take in note the shop or the day state)
