Use of the limitation
The game takes place in a haunted shotgun shack. We wanted to do something other than a shooter with a shotgun, so this was our way of creatively including "shotgun!"

Wow, Dark and eerie. I had the lights off and that was a mistake. All the right uncomfortable feelings. Impressive quality. I was a fan of the voice acting as well! Great job!

This is pretty different from the other games I played. Definitely really interesting conceptually, but I had trouble interpreting what the visions meant.

I like the horror vibes this gives me. Models and ART all cool to :)

Super cool atmosphere, I really liked the style of the frames and the visions!

The music was very fitting to a creepy haunted shack. The sound effect of the wrong choice was also pretty haunting. The voice of the narrator was pretty good, though at the beginning it seemed a tad fast, I know it takes some effort but subtitles would be greatly appreciated!

The game looks really pretty. The views have a really eerie feeling, especially with the faces looking deformed, sometimes into sort of a smiley face.

I felt lost at the beginning because I didn't understand what exactly had to be done. Didn't take long to get the idea though. The environment always makes you feel like you're on the edge, I wasn't sure if there would be some sort of jumpscare!

The visions were somewhat abstract most of the time and I tried to deduce by trying to find some pattern in the frames, sometimes it worked, sometimes not. But it was pretty cool that every run had a different murder setting, it adds some replayability! Also, the screen fading for the vision could be slightly faster, it got a bit unnerving later in the game.

I didn't understand how running out of time worked. Is it a fixed amount of minutes? 'Cause on my last run, I solved the mystery by simply brute forcing the last door. I saw two visions that didn't make much sense with the options given so I tested 3 out of the 4 presented. However in the previous runs I simply died upon entering the next door.

One small glitch I found, was that when I started the game, as the narrator began, if I clicked again or pressed some key it came back to the menu. With the narrator already speaking. Once he stopped the game would start normally though. No big deal.

Really interesting idea, I enjoyed playing detective!

A really cool and atmospheric game.

I wonder how you created this fantastic visions.

Good job and good luck!

wow your game really had a creepy vibe to well done. I as a bit confused on what I was doing at first but started to put together the clues with the vision. Good job to you and your teammate.

Holy!!! How in the world could you guys made such an amazing game like this in only 3 days? From the storytelling, to the atmosphere of the game. The way you use the limitation is also really unique (a shotgun shack instead of using shotgun). The gameplay is speechless and breath-taking! I really like the game like this! Very good works guys!!!

This game looks really well put together, the visual quality for a gamejam game is really impressive! The art in the visions looked really good, if you made that yourself that's incredible! At first i wasn't really sure what was going on, but i think i figured out what i had to do after a little while

I love the atmosphere of this game, it feels like an escape room, or like the games in the "we were here" series :D

Developer

Thank you so much! It's our first game jam, so great to get feedback!

We used the Stable Diffusion AI generator to make the visions since AI art tends to be really unsettling and weird anyway lol. We fed it a ton of phrases and made upwards of 1,500 images for us to pick from for the different clues.

Thank you so much for checking it out and glad you liked it!

ooo yeah that's it! i could tell that the images were strange somehow but i didnt know why

also the voiceover (i think it is text to speech?) sounds really similar to one of the male voices from fallout 4, really caught me off guard to start off with hahaha

Developer

We used xVASynth to generate the voice lines, and after trying out a few of the AI voice models we ended up using Fallout 4's male player character's! We weren't able to get speech-to-speech working in the tool on Windows, so we made do with it's text-to-speech.

oh wow thats really cool actually, i gotta try that out!
