Really cool concept and great way of pulling it off. I like the feel of the game being similar to if luigi's mansion was an isometric pixel game. Great game!
Great graphics and smooth gameplay. It felt like a few SNES games I remember. I really like the mechanics of knocking out and catching them all . The animations were great for each direction and the enemies looked great too. Solid sound effects and impressive quality. Only complaints I can think of were that I would wanted the hitboxes to reach a little further for how much I'm being knocked back hah. Highly rated, Great work!
Great work! This isometric pixel art concept is so creative, I really like it.
I thought the 2d isometric pixel art design was really cool, as well as the ghost capturing concept!
The 2.5D aspect of this game Is crazy cool.
I enjoyed the knockout and trap mechanic with a very satisfying capture animation. Great game!
I love the 2.5d style. Really excellent job with the game - wish it were longer!
Nice to be a ghostbuster!
Hey check out our stream and make fun of us https://twitch.tv/devdiaries
The art was nice the firing at enemies took some getting used to but once I got the basics down was pretty easy. I was able to blast my self off the map well fighting the pumpkin headed ghost though .
Other then that I didn't see anything that broke the game good job on your entry.
I forgot to put collision on the "4th" wall in the boss room. It was one of the last parts I worked on. Maybe I'll patch it today since I've seen a few people experience it.
I liked the art and the gameplay reminded me of classic games, good game
This game was really well made and felt a lot more substantial than a lot of the games ive played here so far, the art and gameplay really made it feel like a classic rpg or something, really impressive work for a game jam!
Wow, didn't know voxel model with pixel sprite can works with each other that well! The game has very unique style in it, and I really like the storytelling of the game. Though it seems like you cannot defeat the monster, but to stun them. Anyway, a really good game, and really well polish.
You stun them so you can catch them in a ghost trap. That's why it's Ghost "Catchers" and not Hunters. ;)
Haha good point, I see what you're doing there. Maybe I'm gonna replay the game to figure out more stuff with it!
This looks rad. I like the voxel models, it looks really nice. The music fits the theme perfectly too. Great work!
SO COOL! I was trying to do an isometric game, and this is exactly the kind of thing I envisioned.
It controls smooth, audio is great, the art style is an awesome blend of 2D, 3D, Pixel Art, and Voxel Art, I just love it.
You're too kind, thank you!
I will take a look at your game if you can get it running.
was pretty fun and i like the artstyle, felt very cohesive. the shotgun did feel a bit weird, but i liked using the ghost trap.
Very unique game with an interesting look! The shotgun didn't feel like it was shooting where I pointed it but I'd definitely love to see this fleshed out more, more enemy types and weapons could make this a real fun full game to play.
I wanted to line up the shots with the barrel of the gun, but it was a bit tricky since there were only 4 angles on the sprite, and the blend of 2d and 3d assets also complicated things. I think the recoil and actual hitbox may be more accurate than the shot's graphic because of this. Gamepad may also be more accurate since it doesn't rely on the screen space to 3d transformation.
I'm glad you enjoyed the game despite its issues!
I'd really love to see a full version of this game, I enjoy the core gameplay, though the targetting on the shotgun felt off.
Really cute! Love the name of the gun, lol. Wish there was more to it, but I understand the llimitations, you did a lot, well done!
