Oh, this was hard. At first Ithought that the game was positioning the figt against itself, but then i decided to add creature - angry copy of player that should prevent him

Good use of limitation! The control scheme that I would have preferred is; Left and Right arrow keys for moving left and right, Up arrow key for jumping and spacebar for switching color. For dashing just the C key but without having to accompany with the arrow press. Just dash in the direction the character is facing.  I was able to beat the game with the control scheme you had set up however so it was just hard enough to keep playing, well done.

Very interesting concept and fun gameplay! Dashing was a little hard, other than that it's a great game.

Thanks for the feedback! :D

The game feels great to play most of the time but I would've like it to be easier to use the dasher. Something like a bigger pickup range or being able to pick it up & then use it would have been great.

Thanks for the feedback! Since the game will be updated (perhaps only after the game jam, and possibly during it), I will still work with the dash, I myself do not really like how it works now.

I like the graphics quite a lot. It's simple and easy to tell what kills you and what doesn't. It's also really cool to have a cutscene stage, though I'm not too sure what is happening there. There is an impressive number of levels. Some of the levels can get frustrating to clear, but the difficulty curve is well done. The levels are also way less repetitive than I'll expect.

One thing I'm curious about is the reason for having an additional input to dash, rather than making the player dash on contact. It feels a little strange to have a specific key dedicated to something that is not accessible most of the time.

I would also suggest zipping the .exe and .pck files into a zip file and upload that instead for  convenience.

Regardless, great submission!

Thanks for the feedback! I will try to fix it and dash in the future based on all the reviews, and at the same time I will archive the file to make it more convenient. :)

Game is hard. But I liked it. Your mechanics are interesting and level design is great too! I enjoyed playing it (but it isn't easy to press x, I would like to press G or F more)

Developer

Thanks for feedback! :) I think in the future I will add a keyboard setting, so that everyone can configure everything as it suits them.

The game looks extremely good with it's simple graphics and I had a lot of fun playing it! Also it's quite challenging (or maybe I'm just bad) 10/10 :D

Always good to see some games being made in Godot! Loved the game was fun to play, wish there was a web version to prevent downloading but I loved giving this game a try! Great work. :D

A good game. The dash powerup was a bit wonky. 8/10

Developer

I'll try to fix it in the future! Thanks for the feedback! :D

This was a great game over-all, however i gave up half-way due to me being a noob and not being able to pass the levels xD

as they said in one game: "no need to be ashamed of losing, because the more you lose, the more you learn!". Thanks for the feedback! :D
