Use of the limitation
The player ( a frog ) goes through its lifespan which slowly disperses. After the player turns into a old frog they die, thus being limited by time itself.

A simple rock on the right when you get out of water (like that it's hard to tell haha)

I assume you mean this one ?

The longer you stay alive the more you grow . You should eventually turn into a "young frog" which can jump higher than the froglet. Tho you can actually climb the rocks behind the rock wall in the froglet stage if you are impatient haha.

That was really fun to go through the life of a frog! It was fun to have different movement as time progressed and being able to get to new areas was exciting!

I loved the concept of using the life cycle for the game story. The controls took a little getting used to, but overall it was a fun game.

thanks alot . i noticed that swimming up and down interferes with moving normally with wasd . Do you mean that or just the controls in general ?

The swimming was a little off, but also the physics-based controls (At least I'm assuming they're physics-based) also felt a little sluggish at times.

Good job! Using the frog's life stages in an fp game was a cool take on the theme. I liked the progression and the tip messages. I'm really good at doing egg things.

haha I'm glad you liked it . Some of the "Mission" messages were a little silly ,as there isn't alot to explain/special to do in some stages.

Wonderful concept, and a whole lot of fun to have the changes in playstyle as the frog ages - really great way to work in the limitation. The note for the egg stage made me laugh too.

I had a similar issue to Mauvegrover with getting stuck in the pits, although it's not that much of an issue given how quick it is to restart and try again :)

Thanks for the feedback. If i rework the game after the gamejam voting, I think ill first redo the pits a bit , so that you can get up again. Having to restart all over just because 1 small misstep can be a bit unfair .

I went back and died of old age no worries lol

My main suggestion would be a way out of the pit (unless I missed one) or make it instant death. When I got stuck I had to keep running into spikes until I depleted the health bar.

hmmm yea, right now there isnt any way to get out of the pits . thats a good idea. What is possible is resetting by pressing  "esc" -> reset or by simply pressing "r" to reset.

There are 2 hidden signs somewhere on the map.
Also if anyone thinks the game is too easy, try collecting all the food.

Yea, the game was very intese and hard breathing.

It thought me very valuable life lessons and it's importance to enjoy life and encourage

the life of even an small species like an awesome frog.

Would play it again 10/10
