- This is a really cool implementation of the theme, I really enjoyed the mechanics however I feel like having 2-3 minutes even if there were more shapes and options would be a lot better due to the fact the map is decently large and takes time to traverse and the thought process to figure out what's right takes some time as well. Fun little project, good job!
How does the game fit into the theme?
As the lone witness to the queen ant's murder, you must use your memory of the killer's pheromone signature to find them before time runs out and they get away.
You get one minute and one button to solve a Mastermind-esque puzzle.
What premade assets did you use if any?
Music from Audionautix.com and sound effects from Kenney or Freesound.org (both public domain)
What are the Discord usernames of everyone on your team?

Cool idea! I took embarrassingly long to realize that Iβm one of the ants and not an outside observer. Might be helpful to color the hero ant differently or something.
This is why playtesting is so important haha
Thank you for the feedback :)
Really interesting idea! I'm a bit slow though, so unless I find the killer by accident, I end up needing a little more time :( Maybe speeding up the movement and inspection could make it a little less difficult, but of course you would have to test that first :D Other than that, it's a pretty fun game, good job!
Thank you for the feedback! I've been tweaking movement speed for the post-jam update because I noticed the same problem after submitting.
This is the type of a game Iβm absolutely awful at, but I tried my best π
I think a few extra mechanics are needed, the core idea is sound, but for instance the first time I just stumbled upon the killer by accident and patted myself on the back instantly. Then it turned out itβs not that simple, however often itβs due to not having enough time to figure out where the killer might be on the map in given time.
I was thinking this lends itself actually to some extra mechanics, like skills or powerups that let you dash once in a while quicker across the map, stop time for a moment, peek across the map etc. etc., generally stuff that adds in a planning/agility element to it, and evens out the odds.
I want to keep things simple, so I'm tweaking the movement speed and NPC behavior to make it feel more fair for the post-jam update. Thank you for the feedback! Fun fact: You have a 5% chance of finding the killer on the first try :)
5 on graphics for the cool ants
Very creative game! I thought the lights were referencing the same tile, so I was a bit confused at first but I got it on the second try.
Thank you for the feedback! I'll see if I can arrange the hints differently to make it less confusing :)
Very interesting and nice idea to use the pheromones, also love that its about ants.
Okay, so the idea is good, but I wish there was a hint so you know what you're looking for... or maybe I just didn't see it (I'm dumb lol)...
Did you scroll down in the tutorial? I realize I may not have made it obvious enough that there was more to it. Thank you for the feedback :)
