Castlevania feels. The art that has been made was pretty good. The music was amazing, filling the atmosphere of the game. The game is easy to play and simple. I look forward to updates!

I think you guys totally have the feel down. Fantastic music. My only gripe is that while the platforming is often good, there certain areas where the design isn't all there. The Archivist area has some areas where to make the jump I have to bang my head against the ceiling, which throws off my jump trajectory. The punishment for missing a jump here is also quite high, as I fall back several rooms.

Overall through, I think you guys did a great job!

Unfortunately I didn't have the time to playtest the Archives area so it's the one that's got the most issues, glad you enjoyed the game :)

A very solid submission, feels just like a castlevania game. Gameplay is great, music is awesome, and even if graphics are lacking it's still very clear and enjoyable.

Thanks ! I was worried the lack of graphics would be a big issue, happy to hear that the game still delivered an enjoyable experience :)

Despite the basic graphics, I had a lot of fun with this game! It was super well polished, and even though everything was solid colours, the sounds and music immersed me in the world. The character had some of the best physics I've seen from the jam, and I loved exploring the world! I especially loved the bosses, but unfortunately I wasn't able to beat the scholar boss. the save point was just too far away, and on one run I did beat him, with only one hit of health left, dying on my way back to the save. I went around the map and got as powerful as possible, but still couldn't get the double jump powerup. I still really enjoyed playing, and was pleasantly surprised by the gameplay =)
