the teleport and tongue are very novel abilities, which is always nice to see!

though the teleport felt a bit hard to aim at times, and while the tongue felt really fun- the camera was a bit too zoomed in for a lot of the jumps, it felt like i had to make a bunch of “hail mary” jumps where i just tongue-launched myself in a direction and hoped there would be a platform wherever i ended up.

that last room was particularly difficult, but i was able to do it!

oh, also i tried playing with joystick but the deadzones felt way too high, but playing with dpad felt fine

Ya I definitely should've pulled the camera back, made the same mistake in a previous game you'd think I'd learn lol. Sorry about the analog stick, I only tested it on controller after I already submitted and realized how bad it was too late. Thanks so much for the feedback and for checking my game out!

I got 37 deaths 847 seconds
I think I died in the first jumpad teleport room 25 times lol
very fun last rooms that combine all of the elements of the game
I like the vibe/pixel art as well good job!

This game is really charming - both in the aesthetic and in the controls. The name Frogja is also pretty great. The grapple mechanic was simple and fun to use, and the overall movement felt really precise and fun to mess around with. The platform experience was great - especially using a d-pad.

My favorite part was definitely the blind fall and having to TP through the lasers as they came.

Overall I really enjoyed my experience, I just wish there was a bit more. Specifically combat-wise. But I also completely understand time-constraints with this being a game jam! I think you did a great job! I can't remember my stats, but I got to the end with about 30 deaths (embarrassingly :D).

Also, thanks for playing our game and leaving a review!

Thanks so much I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it! Ya I definitely wanted to add more, I made all the levels in the last day of the jam, the path of exile 2 early access really got in the way of making this game lol. Also no prob on playing your game, I really enjoyed it and finished it up tonight!

Nice job! I got 29 deaths, 624 seconds.

The platforming is really solid. I really enjoyed the tongue ability, I appreciated how generous it was with letting you hold it for a bit. It took some time to get used to the warp distance. I really appreciated at the end how a lot of the bouncers were exactly 1 warp away.

Love the art. The purple on orange contrast is really stylish. The main character looks really good too. Great work!

Thank you for the kind words! It means a lot to me coming from someone who made a game as awesome as yours was!

this was pretty good! ditching the combat for the most part to focus on the platforming was a good idea, the different mechanics you set up were fun. the levels were maybe half blind jumps but i still managed to get through by just assuming what you wanted. it functioned really well for the most part, the pogo could be finicky but it wasn't really used that much so it didn't become an issue. the part near the end with the rapid fire electric walls as you were falling was really cool, it was surprising but i managed to do it on the first go which felt really good. it was a part that didn't have any blind element to it and gave you a bit of time to react to what was happening without trial and error. overall good stuff! i like the frog ninja!

Awesome glad you enjoyed it! Ya it was originally gonna be a combat focused game but I ran out of time to make enemy sprites so I pivoted and made it a platformer lol. Sorry about all the blind jumps, I tried to make the fall speed slow to help out. Thanks for checking the game out!

Interesting combination of mechanics makes for some fun platforming options. Some sections got frustrating with the lasers. The tongue grapple is pretty fun to play around with. Nice work!
