Concept of using chess pieces and switching between them is really cool, had me immediately interested. The dash does feel a bit clumsy to use as is, because I can only use it in the air, so I'm just kinda hopping around back and forth trying to hit enemies. Unless you have a specific reason not to implement this, I do think it'd feel smoother if you could just dash while on the ground as well, so you can dash into enemies with more ease. I also couldn't tell at first I could even use the dash this way, so a little tutorial in-game (either in text, or something like having the player dash into an obstacle to teach him?) would be nice. I thought I could outsmart the enemies by moving up higher, not realizing they would follow me with ease x) That was pretty funny.

Thank you for your comment, yes your are correct, the concept of dashing is not that good, it's hard to use, we will try to improve that in future updates.

Nice concept, getting new pieces to get new powers! I find the fighting mechanics not easy at all, as I often get hit trying to kill enemies that have too much health at the very beginning of the game :( They're so many and so hard to beat that I chose to rush through to a horse boss I could not kill... Maybe being able to dash while being on ground would make things a bit easier?

The boss looks cool though, he as an interesting moveset and I think that would be a cool fight if I wasn't so bad. Nice work!

Thank you for your comment, we will improve our game, also we will try to make the game easier to learn and play. Including changing how dash works, that's a great idea.

I really like the idea of switching between different chess pieces to change the type of movement. Although I struggle a bit with how to use the dash move. Here's my gameplay at timestamp: 2:10:39

Thank you for the comment. About the dashing, sorry we didn’t make the tutorial and the dashing system perfect. In the current game you can click to dash to the mouse cursor also you can dash to enemy to damage them. We will improve the game more and make the dashing easier to use.

A delightful submission! The innovative concept of utilizing chess pieces for abilities was a standout. I enjoyed the dynamic touch of pieces tilting with movement. Kudos on the AI design too; their challenging nature and ability to pursue over obstacles added depth. Excellent work!

Oh! I love the theme. Im a big chess nerd. Would love to see you flesh this out more. I had a good laugh when I turned into a horse/knight. One thing id like is more variety in the music.

Great concept! Keep up the good work.

The chess theme seems super interesting, I'd love to see it fleshed out a little more and play even more into the mechanics.

My biggest issue was that I had a very hard time telling when I was damaging enemies and when enemies were damaging me. Then again, maybe I'm just looking for excuses for how many times I died. At least it meant I got to see the cool health effect with the piece slowly breaking apart. That was super cool!

Ultimately, this game is just conceptually fascinating to me. Good work!

Thank you for comment, we will continue with the idea. And we will improve the game in the future.
