Very interesting look. I don't think another game in the jam looks like this. Kinda picture-book-esque.
I found the jump a bit awkward, and the inventory often wouldn't show.
The puzzles were a little tricky to work out. Took me a while to figure out the lever to open the door was a lever and not a smear on the wall.
Actually, I wasn't sure what to do after I got to the ferris wheel area. I turned it on, but couldn't figure out what to do after that. I might have tried longer, but I think I was discouraged by how slowly it turned.
Got a couple of recordings I'll upload at some point.
Thanks for your feedback, those are all very useful points 👍
Here's the recording: Labyrinth of the Golden Land by The Gray Space
After talking to the thirsty man I walked on the right and after some staircase I could not progress and when I came back the one of the stairs was to high to me to jump back on it.
I will try again cause I liked the vibe and starting to piece toghether things. I wanted to report this for now. Really liked the npcs and the moving stuff around mechanich
Keep walking to the right after the staircase. I'm guessing it's not clear enough that this is an entrance to another area? I'll take that into account moving forward.
I missed that! Yes make it a bit more visible because I could have missed the introduction to pixie jump(that area was really great!)
Really love what you did with the puzzle and the level design, maybe the ferris wheel could have been a bit faster.
Hey, those character animations caught my eye! The whole vibe felt like a 2D Dark Souls castle setting, which was awesome. Noticed a bit of jitter with the character though, maybe it's something with the camera sync and physics? Just guessing. Anyway, really cool game overall!
Thanks for checking it out! I think a lot of things are jitter-y still x) Camera and controls could still use plenty of TLC. It's all going to be looked at and updated as I continue working on it, so that too will be worked out eventually.
Love the creepy surreal vibe of this game - both the artwork and the audio, it reminded me of those old Salad Fingers animations. The ability to grab objects and push / pull them around is definitely an inventive twist for the genre! I got stuck in the area with the "O" tile - perhaps I missed an upgrade that lets me jump higher. But really enjoyed what I played of it, great job!
Thanks for checking it out!
This is a terribly unfinished work in progress :') but any feedback on concept, game feel or otherwise is appreciated!
