This was pretty fun and worked well! I liked the mechanics, having to deal with your mech getting slower as it got colder. Only real issue I had was that it would have been nice to be able to see further down. Since it's a game about mining, having the character be centered much higher up on the screen would be nice. Graphics were good, mech design is cute, and the music was nice, though I didn't really feel like it fit the overall tone of the game. Great job overall!
Fun 2D mining game.
Even if a bit on the hard side, i really enjoyed racing agains the cold to try and dig coal as quickly as possible. The fact that the mechs slows down as it gets colder is also a nice detail but makes it quite a challenge to balance your time mining and planing your return trip to the furnace XD
My main gripe is that while digging downwards, you don’t seem to drill more than one block at a time instead of 2 if you’re in between 2 tiles, having it be like this would make the dig mechanics a bit better i.m.o, especially considering they seem to work this way already when digging horizontally.
Another small issue i found is that you didn’t seem to have walled off your level so if you’re not carefull you can walk and fall off the map.
Other than these it’s still a nice entry, and i liked the challenge, even if i died quite a few times thinking i’d have enough time to go back but forgot to take into account that you move slower and slower as you freeze haha :p
Good job to you guys :)
I like the concept of balancing mining and not freezing, would love to see this expanded on maybe with mining to upgrade the base or just different things to mine or avoid. Also the game was pretty small I couldn't get it to fullscreen. Very cool game though
Had a great time digging, collecting, and dropping off minerals. (Very nice drop off animations.)
Wish it took more minerals to win the game, so I just played it again! Plenty of potential here for more minerals, drill upgrades and more.
One small point of frustration was I am not small enough to fit into 1-wide holes when I dig down, and my drill cant dig a tile unless I'm directly above it, so downward digging was tedious. However sideways digging easily made up for this.
Laughed in the about/credits.
This is a nice concept!
It took me a little while to piece out what exactly I was doing, but once I did, I found it to be a clever concept. It reminds me of Terraria and Steamworld Dig a great deal. I'd say that the blocks which need to mined could be clearer if more colors were used on them, but for the most part I think this was a simple concept with a nice execution!
First thing I did was walk off the side of the map, didn't understand I needed to mine down haha. Would like it if the mech was only 1 tile wide so you didn't have to dig twice, or you could dig 2 tiles at a time. With some more goals/obstacles could be a nice little game!
