The visuals are fantastic. Reminds me of mirror's edge and other parkour-type games. My mouse kept escaping the game onto my second monitor, and it made it much harder to play, but I had a good time with this one overall. Good stuff.
Thanks man. Glad to hear the visuals are in the right place. It's strange I never noticed the mouse cursor when testing until now.
The game is entertaining and the atmosphere created is great.
Thank you, I put a lot of work into getting the atmosphere right.
Great visuals, controls are floaty also i feel uncomfortable on my eyes while playing.
suggestion : 3rd person could be better.
good game overrall
Really good 3D platformer! But I think the controls could be a little less sensitive.
Oh, and the graphics are really cool too.
Thanks! And yeah, the controls are a little funny.
Fun game and really great job on the graphics! I love the beacons and the glow they give. I would suggest removing the sliding, as this made it very difficult to get across the level, and make the moving platforms come back to their original position as I kept having to restart because the platforms wouldn't come back. Finally, I would suggest removing the mouse from the screen and centering the look motion as my mouse kept reaching the edge and I'd have to pause it to recenter the mouse. All in all though, well done! :)
This is some great feedback! Thank you, I agree with you especially on the sliding/stubborn platforms which have had me frustrated a couple of times when testing my level. I think with time I'll be able to flesh out the controls some more. Also, I was unaware the pointer was still visible! I'll give it another look.
No problem! And if you plan to continue updating this, I would be happy to continue to provide feedback :)
I got to the first beacon, but I quit because I kept slipping a lot. (The amount of slipping that occurs feels like I was in an ice level). Is there a hotkey for resetting? Because that would've alleviated some of the frustration.
Otherwise, the graphics were acceptable, for a 3D jam project. And the layout of the level seemed promising.
Understandable, I originally thought of turning the beacons into checkpoints that you would automatically teleport back to, but by then it was already too late to make any major changes, unfortunately.
