So cool, I did not expect to see a proper castle builder in this jam, and with such authentic graphics. Building stops working after a few nights but still very cool idea. Night/day cycle and music are good atmosphere boosters.
it looks great and smart and minimalist art is cool.... but .... but what's going on????
This is an interesting strategy game. I like the loop of building during the day and leaving your pawns ready for combat at night. I made it a few waves in, and the enemies never seemed to offer much of a challenge. I suggest some increases to the enemy difficulty. Also, I had issues where pawns became stuck trying to build something. I suggest adding a demolish and cancel building action to the game.
Here is an error I encountered which might help with bug fixes.
Thank you for playing. I have been hunting these bugs for a bit now. Found a few and refactoring some code (it was hanging on a thread as I slapped stuff together).
I will definitely try to increase the difficulty. Since I didn’t have a way to bring your pawns back I didn’t want you to lose them to quick if that occurred.
Thank you for the error. I will definitely take a look.
Instructions were a bit vague and the pawns seem to get stuck wherever they attack the first wave of attackers. Other than that, I eventually figured out you're supposed to try to protect the center square from the oncoming red dots and use the walls to keep them out until the pawns could eliminate them. Impressive work for the time allowed!
