The default mouse cursor is probably more than 64x64 by itself. I couldn't get custom cursors working in the game engine i use so the game would use the default cursor.
I use unity, but i don't really feel like changing it anymore since the default looks fine enough and i have lots of other stuff to do in the game. Might do that for some finishing touches when i finish the game.
